Then you will have to take the car without a single mass flywheel , unfortunately

Default Perhaps we will see a few more options offered on the 911R...

Heard that PAG will add more options to the 911R in the next few weeks.
For example, deviating seatbelt colors & (perhaps) some Alcantara® bits
to the interior. This report came from someone that contacted me today
from Europe, is a confirmed 911R customer with a Comm. No. & just came
back from a visit to the Geneva International Motor Show! So a solid source.

Also heard from a US dealer source that US 911R customers will be allowed
to order the 'Side Stripes with Porsche Script' in the three colors WITHOUT
having to do European Delivery!

As most know, Porsche initially restricted this option to ONLY those taking
delivery of their 911R in Europe:

Series production in Zuffenhausen will still not apply the 'Side Stripes' to
any 911R in the assembly line. Those taken delivery in Europe will have
the 'Side Stripes' applied at the 'Porsche Exclusive' workshop at the
Customer Delivery Center in Zuffenhausen. And that will most likely
still be the location where the 'Side Stripes' are applied to any customer
car ordered with it (regardless Euro Delivery), since it's indeed a 'Porsche
Exclusive' option & that is where this work is done if option does not
qualify for installation in assembly line!

We had the choice of 'Black' in every market since day one on
the 911R. The deviating part in my post refers to possible 'Red'
& other colored seat belts...mate!

I really l ike what the R stands for, a modern day example of purity. As I have spent quite a bit of time over years in weight reduction related to Porsche, I wonder if anyone would like a further lightweight package that I am thinking about that should save another 50 to 60 kg? Thoughts, please.

Has anyone wondered how does GT Silver look like with red stripes?

No hate for 918 owners here, especially for the one who wants to give me his R allocation. Perhaps in exchange for an RS allocation?

Robert: Let me first of all commend you for the initiative
you took regarding reinforcement of at-risk US military
vehicles to protect US service men & woman in combat!

I, for one, would be very interested in your lightweight
package ideas. And I would think many others will be
similarly interested. Please post...or PM/email me.
Thank you.

Would the single mass flywheel increase clutch activation effort?

Quick couple of questions - specced the car over the weekend with the dealer, and just wanted to run it past you lot.

Sports Chrono: Apart from providing a clock/stop watch on my dash (including track app), it does not provide any performance enhancing throttle mapping? I am sure it doesn't, SA said otherwise and I just want to triple check with you. First thought is to keep lines simple and not get it, as my other cars don't have it.

Auto dimming mirrors: yay or nay?

Thank you in advance
