@NSD991 That came out great! How challenging is it to load a car on that single post AC Lift while avoiding the side rails on the inside and outside of each ramp from scratching your wheels? I've got 4 of those things coming for my garage build that is in it's final phase, so I'm really interested to hear your perspective.

honestly I’ve just put the top car on the lift and not moved it as we had to let the concrete cure over the baseplate. I think it’s gonna take someone guiding me the first few times. I got the wider version of the lift as my cars were a tight fit on my Rotary 4 post. What I didn’t realize is the distance between the inner barrel of the wheels on the 458 is much wider that the same distance on the RS. So with the RS I’m going to have to be a bit more careful not to injure the inner part of the rims. Our floor will be all done by this weekend and I’m going to load the RS on top and see. I don’t think it’s going to be an issue but I’ll certainly need some help the first couple times till I get comfortable.

The only pictures I have showing the outside of the tracks have plenty of room. It’s the inside I’ll need to be careful with I think. BTW the garage door and low railing is temporary as the real door won’t arrive till next month ( ordered 8/2021!)

40 weeks? What is wrong with this world?

What is that white stuff on the ground????
It's good to have friends in high places. Called John Menard and boom! We will have the doors delivered tomorrow and the rails to follow by Friday 10:00 am.

Finally some traction... ;-)

What white stuff?

Thanks 928 GT R! Still waiting on sleeper couch and a bit more furniture but I’ve gotten home office up and running. It’s nice to have my own space.

Good to hear that you poured over the lift base, we are planning to do the same but have not seen any examples of it done yet. We were starting to think we might be crazy.

I’ve been thinking about trying to cut up a “pool noodle” to use as a protective coping on the rails for the first few months. You might give that a try and report back since our build won’t be done until this summer!

Took plastic off OEM RS6 exhaust mounted on the wall.

@NSD991
Congrats mate - what a special place you have created. Having your own spot is soooooo important on so many levels.

Elegant and functional - You have given me an idea for my old TT exhaust for my own garage! I just wish there was an easy way to store spare wheels.....

Once again - excellent job!

Spare wheels are quite the dilemma. They look great when clean and displayed on a wall. I have rolling racks that look a bit shoddy. I've tried having covers made for them and am considering having brackets built to mount them on the wall as displays... anyone familiar with building brackets custom for this?
