I'm in the homebuilding business and run a lot of supplies through Amex (I still can't believe some of them take it.). Home Depot is dollar for dollar gift cards (1% cash back). Home depot usually will do some deals where you can get the gift cards for 20% off. Do it about once a year. When they do it, I transfer $8k in points into $10k in home depot gift cards. usually lasts me about a year until the next time it comes around. haha. We do run most of our supplies through Capital One's 2% cash back card though which is a better return.

my house has 2 separate garages, here's my GT3 & GT3 RS, is small in size but does the job for me. Under the yellow GT3 there's a BendPak MD-6XP and do use the Race Ramps to store the cars to save some space.

I bailed on Amex or any travel points because when I travel I make it tax deductable most of the time. And using points never worked for me somehow. I use the Capital One Spark Visa which gives me 2% back and I take it personally tax-free. Some vendors don't want to take Amex because of the higher fees, and I push our suppliers to take Visa with no surcharge if they want to keep my business and that works some of the time. I just deposited a $10k check this week. Cash money brutha.

Everyone's garage looks so clean, where do you guys store your spare wheels and tires as well as tools? By the time I put in my 3 sets of wheels, air compressor, tool chest and moveable cabinets. There is not much room for anything else but the cars.

I'm lucky to have space behind the garage where the A/C and garage bins are. It's tucked away where the rear garage wall does a 90 degree at the main house and that's a great spot for large item storage. Cabinets for the rest of the stuff. (single family home)

The best thing about those tools is the cigar!

Wow, just luv how organized those tools are. Almost makes me want to get rid of all of my tools I have bought over time and start over! Interested in those cordless tools. I have dewalts currently but may look to switch as I like those cordless ratchets.

I have the M12 fuel stubby (3/8”) and that thing is a freakin’ beast! It removes lug nuts with ease (I’ve tried up to 118 ft/lbs).

It likely varies quite a bit. To educate myself, I’d like to get some input from this group that has built or is planning to build a detached garage.
I am in the NW. Insulated, heat, A/C, plumbing for a utility sink, tall ceiling for lifts (just in case), relatively basic finishes.
What sort of per sqft price would you say is reasonable? $100? $200?
