Some of these garage are truly inspirational! I'm toying with the idea of a external two car garage. Is 20x24 too small? What height is required for a two post lift?
in the above he has storage racks in the above areas so wouldn't matter
but if you are trying to free up space, the wall mounted/side winder types are great
It also works well for not interfering with a lift. If you look at my shop the track follows the angle of the ceiling, so side mount was perfect for that

Do a search. Lots of info available on your questions.

I want something that is clean and minimalist. So I don’t think diamond plate would me me happy. However, I’d sure be happy with how that siding came out. Looks slick.
Thank you!
I did something in the past with cold rolled steel that might work with the look you want
This is just a picture I grabbed from the internet to show an example

This what I had put together BEFORE I got the architect involved: 61x42 footprint, large Bendpack lift, 9 cars plus room for a trailer, large space on second floor for huge weight room, theater, billiards, kitchenette, bunk room, etc.
This is the elevation the architect came up with. The house is old, and I wanted the garage to not compete with the home. I am targeting full brick carriage house exterior, and old industrial vibe on the interior.
Still the same width, just one less garage bay. I decided I can put the trailer on one of the barns on the property. That change allows for more “living space” on the inside. I was suppose to have the initial floor plan tomorrow, but it looks now like I won’t get the drawings until the middle of next week.
