The lights are multi color. They can be any color you want. I chose purple because I ordered an RS6 In Velvet Purple that just arrived, so it was a tribute to that.

Has anyone tried mounting lights on the bottom of a lift, tucked up and away, to illuminate the car underneath? Would be great if you could put a sensor that would turn them on when backing into the garage. I love having a lift, but obviously the car above blocks the light from the ceiling.

I bought Hue strip lights that I am going to affix to the adjacent wall and plug in. This I believe will work well, they are quite bright and change colours (if that's of interest, they didn't have white only). You can also set up a hue motion sensor to them and control all via an app. If for some reason it isn't bright enough, I'll add another strip.
Other options are to affix under cabinet lighting to the underside of the lift. But batteries pose a problem, because recharging sucks especially if they don't last as advertised. If you go corded with this mounting option, then would need to run cords out of the way to prevent snags.

I'm tackling this now. I bought some LED light bars that magnetically adhere to the lift posts. But realized how long they take to charge and returned them. Don't want to be spending hours recharging batteries. Otherwise nice units, goal was to not have wires.

Thank you for the quick response. I thought about the cabinet lighting. Just need to figure out the best way to run the wires, as you stated. I'd love to have a motion sensor, or possibly something that simply turns them on similar to the light that comes on when the garage door opens/closes.
I took a quick look at where to run wires, thing is that the wires will travel up/down as the lift moves. This because the lights will be on the movable part of the lift. Other option is to mount on the posts facing inwards, but again the cord will look ugly. Battery powered 36-48" strips were the best elegant solution, they also had motion detectors built in. Looked decent too. But damn lousy batteries.

I'll post up when I do it, maybe this coming weekend.

Probably varies. I bought off Amazon, tons of options. The one I picked up had 3 brightness settings and was quite bright. Agree magnet wasn't strong enough in my case, wouldn't trust to stay on 100%. I was going to use rare earth magnets to supplement.
