I still have my doubts. AP said they will keep going with N/A. But, it's not good when their top of the line GT car gets not only beaten but destroyed at Laguna. And for pretty much half the money.
With the Viper taking over the crown I guess the next RS has to be a significant rise and HP. Not sure they can do that with N/A?
And I guess with the tech skill they have in Stuttgart they can make a turbo car rev and sound like a N/A in not to distant future.
The R is cool but it's not for me.

My money is on the next RS being mid-rear engine and turbo that I suspect we'll see in the 2017 911 RSR. IMO, the N/A vs Turbo point has become pretty trivial now that the decision has been made to move the engine in front of the rear axle.

Can you elaborate?

With VW in dire straights I can't imagine them developing a new engine program for GT cars. I bet the next GT cars have a bunch more HP and are Turbos. Porsche knows how to make whatever HP turbo engine they want with vary little effort and existing engine programs.

Let's see....de-tuned GT3 engine + GT3 body + no wing + stupid price + hard to get = FAIL!

Unlike rumors that swirl around the N/A GT3, Viper production WILL end in 2017. It has already been announced by FCA. If I were Porsche, I wouldn't be spending too many development dollars to try to beat it...

I even skipped the bitching. Just straight to the snake pit. Now I smile. I get offered 991RS every other day for 300k. I told the last guy that I will keep viper AND gt4 AND boxster spyder before buying 320k 991.
