Seems like most of us agree that the VIP program blows. Obviously some new guys to the board that have just been posting for 1-2 years and bought a 918 love the program, shocker ! Overall I find it really unfortunate that modern limited edition p cars are not mostly commodity products being bought for profit. Most of the fun to stick with the P car brand over Ferrari for me has been the lack of all these games till recently.
Envy of those that have more toys is unbecoming.

I don't blame the non-mortals. I blame Porsche for being the idiots that created the VIP program. If they thought their 918 car was so great, why did they feel so compelled to off the VIP program to sell those 918? A little whiff of desperation maybe??? It's going to come back to bite them in the *** in the intermediate and long term.

Guys the 918 program is just a way PAG is refunding the 918 owners for
the too many 918 recalls some either very dangerous for driver safety
how to blame ? they opened a refund campaign with RS over MSRP price paid
directly to 918 ppl by regular 911 buyers... this seems to continue with R and who knows next models

You both could be right - it might be 120 + the VIP allocations (297 isn't it?) So 417 out of say 911 for the US is about 45% which seems to make sense given where the market is.
Only time will tell, but I would be very surprised if they didn't at least bring some in for non-918 customers.
