You deserve free rotors for actually driving the snot out of that beast.
sicom claims that in 20 days they will refurbish your worn pccb to "better than new" (not sure what that means) for 795 Euros... anyone tried this before?
SICOM Refurbishment
This is a worldwide exclusive service by SICOM/Foxx Automotive
surface revitalization of worn ceramic brake rotors
guaranteed quality standards by SICOM by X-ray and weight check of every rotor
refurbishing rotors passing our production process for carbon ceramic rotors and will get the same ultrahard friction surface as our premium rotors
final quality check by scaling and balancing control
before and...
....after
The refurbishing process in detail:
After the initial incoming control the discs are weighed and depending on wear and wear pattern the rotors are x-rayed and examined for structural damage.
After that any brake pad residue or contaminates is chemically steamed off
The rotors are machined until they are level
The napped are vacuum soaked in polymeric carbon
The next step is to pyrolyze the rotors at 1100°C
The last two steps are repeated three times
now the discs are siliconized at 1500°C
The top layer ( ca. 1mm thick ) is now restored, and trough the pyrolysis it is chemically and physically bonded with the structure
Now follows the final sanding of the top layer
The disc is completely reassembled and is weighed once more and precision-balanced
The disc now has gained about 30-50g and is at desired value once more
So, if companies like this can fix pccb's.. a lot of the fear of ordering pccb because of porsche's replacement cost should be eliminated no?

I belive this process was previously advertised as working on only on some CCBs. Seems like PCCBs are a recent addition. Very interested to see how this works out and learn more technically.
At a minimum they will make the PCCB rotors good enough to pass inspection and street driving. If as advertised Sicom and Racing Brakes make them "better then new" and much cheaper than replacement.
Karl911; Maybe you get some (Used) steel rotors to carry you over if you cant park the car in the expedited turn-around time?
I have 17 full track days and one AutoX these rotors. 1675 track miles. I'm on my second set of OEM pads (8 days on them). On visual inspection they looked fine till my last two days when these lines appeared. I don't like the looks of these. I'm going to have them measured and my pads inspected. Anyone else have these show up? These are caused by small pebbles getting caught between the rotor and the pad?
