Burning Brakes
The GT4 is not that far off the pace of a GT3, at least on a shorter track. Here's a vid of me having some fun with a GT3 at our last track day of the season:
I do give up some on the straights (but not as much as I would have thought), lose a bit under braking (as expected) but seem to be able to get on the power earlier. Tremendous fun.

I should've phrased better. It was late. By no means was my post a criticism. What I meant to say was, with an excellent driver like Joe, I'm surprised the times aren't lower.
Also, the 6GT3 had a good track alignment, fresh NT01's, cup front lip and RS rear wing with 4 degrees shims. The driver was far from a pro, it was me :-)

Just returned from my first track day in my 2015 GT3. I noticed that there are a lot of small rocks and debris that have accumulated behind the front bumper around the radiator. Does anyone have an easy solution to removing them. If not is there a link to some other thread that shows how to remove the bumper so I can remove the debris. Any help would be appreciated.

Joe,
Have you ran the Thill 5mile with the "new" bypass on the west side?
I ran it for the first time recently, my first time ever doing the west side and it was amazing. The change they made to the back section made it flow really nice. Certainly would be my goto track layout going forward.

I'll give it another try next year!

That sucks
yeah, some of the curbing choices are very strange to say the least. A number of spots where you can really mess up a tire/wheel/suspension without really doing anything wrong.

I used this writeup to remove my bumper in order to replace the mesh that got knocked out. It's pretty easy to do

Thanks. Do you have issues with small rocks, debris accumulating inside the bumper around the radiator. Seems there must be an easier solution than removing the bumper after each track day. Mayb they are getting inside from some other way than through the front that I could block off with mesh or something.

Even automated touchless was gets 3/4 of the crap out of there, and the rest falls out during daily driving, so I'm not sweating it too much. FWIW, after 2 years, 20+ track days and 14K miles, my car has the same amount of crap in radiators as it had after 2 months and 1 track day, with no bumper removal or even compressed air cleaning done ever. I do hose out big rubber marbles once in a while though.

I have used a vinyl bra on my Spyder and really like the way it protects the entire front end and mirrors especially on the track. It is also very easy to clean up. I plan on getting one made for my GT3. The attached pic shows one for a Turbo. I like the way it covers the headlights and comes further up the hood.

Took the car to Sonoma Raceway yesterday. Came back with a new PB lap time of 1:47. I still love this setup. The car is very easy to manage at the limit. I still love the MPSC2 over the trofeoR. My prior PB at Sonoma was on cup2 running 1:49 in damp conditions. On trofeoR I couldn't get past 1:51. My lap times are MUCH more consistent with cup2 over TrofeoR as well.
Video of the run. Not a good line, but the car felt goood.
