Mike, all the need to do is put the 2014's on the road before building the 2015's. Those on the list for 2015 did not expect their cars until the fall.

This is a very serious situation. US customer desperate enough to accept a car one year old without having seen it or driven it while the 2015's are on the road are crazy. The depreciation will be significant.

Porsche AFAIC is dealing in bad faith. They should give us the 2015 builds and sell the 2014's at whatever price they think they can get for them.

Gentlemen: We are just trying to get at the truth, not to annoy anyone. I have just posted over at the gt3 forum of Rennteam in Europe to see if anyone there in Europe & the Middle East can shed light as to when MY2015 gt3's will start production in Zuffenhausen. Will keep you posted.

Correct. Look it this way. Any delays in deliveries for pre-scheduled early MY2015 gt3's would create a new sub-set of aggrieved gt3 customers that might demand 'compensation' just as Cat B MY2014 stakeholders. And Porsche can't afford that kind of trouble & extra expenses just to pacify current MY2014 Cat A, B...and even C.

Do you have that in writing? Has PAG really painted themselves into that box? Or is it part of the first set of miscommunications last month from PCNA and other importers...not directly from PAG!

Eduardo--you may be correct, as we all have very little in writing. What we do have is reasonable collective memory. For them to break yet another "promise?" Yeah, just great for client relations and great for the brand...

Have the ROW dealers received 2015 GT3 allocations?
I know the US dealers have not. With the exception of the 2014 customers who were sloughed off into 2015.

May need to swing by the McLaren dealer again. . .

No link--just what has been told to me by Ian at PCNA during each of 3 conversations I have had with him. Also what was told to a RL member / friend in UAE as well as to others here in the US.

Mike/Eduardo,
correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the early MY'14 owners were kept in the dark with a mysterious intro/delay of the car...so why not **** off the rest of the MY'14 owners/waiters with another delay for the MY'15 ROW prod???

I agree with Nick, as a Cat B/in-Prod waiter, I am OUT, if ONE MY'15 car gets an engine before my order gets one.

Not wishing to set off any alarm bells, but the question remains as to what the factory is doing in June, July and August vis-a-vis the GT3. We know that 2014s ended toward the very end of March, that resources were devoted to engine production beginning in April and scheduled through May, and that 2015s will begin September 1.

June- August then is dead for the GT3? Seems admittedly improbable to me.

Seems improbable to me too, but don't forget the factory summer holiday closure?

I had to smile at this. Yes many of us were affected by delays right at the beginning of production. Mostly ROW clients like TomTom & Arth in UAE, myself and other RHD customers in the UK and early customers in Europe. Infact the cars were delayed by almost 3 months with NO formal communication as to why that happened. Over 120 units were built in September and were moth balled at the factory until late Dec when the last of them had the "fix" retrofitted and were shipped to their owners in the UAE and other distant markets where they were received in mid/late Jan.

Luckily few USA customers were affected because their cars were never scheduled to be produced until Nov in terms of original expectation and if anything delays were no greater than a week or two up until of course late Jan when the the proverbial shortly thereafter hit the fan and created a bottle neck.

Above is just by way of some historical context. Most of us who had placed deposits in March for the car and were expecting early delivery (and ED) in September were quite disappointed to not get our cars until Dec and no compensation of official apologies or "goodwill" gesture was made. This may have passed concern first time around but you can imagine how some people feel now like in the UAE where they got their cars very late only to use them for a few weeks and have them mothballed again!

The US COO said to me last week, ALL 2015 GT3's set for production as of the time we spoke are only for the 2014 customers that their cars never started production. Guys not sure how much clearer that can be. No other GT32015's are planned for production beyond the 2014 customers.

This really sucks, I'm "on the list" for a GT3 2015, this means I will not get one. But if they no this why will they take a deposit?

That's a question for your dealer. The info flow has been beyond horrible between dealers and PCNA and PAG.
