If correct ( probably will change) that would be about $12K they owe you. Not too bad.

Nick, I believe Bill's car will be a 2015. Unless I'm mistaken, there is no compensation being paid for 2015's.....

@#%@! My 2014 was supposed to enter the body shop on 5/2/14 with delivery on 6/27/14. So apply the offsets, my 2014 -> 2015 is 1st week of January 2015 delivery!

Six months late and currently it appears Porsche is going to offer nothing more than a 2015 delivered 5 months into the model year?

That's right - a 'Category C' car. Scheduled to be a 2014, but pushed into the next model year after the fireworks. Not sure on any compensation details for our group. (actually, no one is - I guess they get 6 months to sort it out)

Right about now I really wish I hadn't pre-traded my R8. I could have probably made about $0.50 in interest on the $120k in six months.

Mine was supposed to be May 9 delivery. I have not yet heard my new delivery date. I called Andrea PCNA Atlanta last week and she said there will be an announcement next week. My salesman last week said there are no dates showing in the system other than a September allocation. I'm curious if this information you received was an estimate from your dealer OR the actual date showing in the computer commission number system? As soon as I hear what my expected delivery date is I will post it here. I'm thinking it will be November. At least I hope it's that or earlier. But it will be what it will be. We are also supposed to get a call from Andrea or Ian regarding some form of compensation according to Tim Quinn's letter don't forget!

My experience with direct communication with Tim Quinn I would not trust a word he tells us. He admitted to providing misinformation to me as well as to the dealers. Guy should have been terminated. Maybe he has. Hasn't been any communication from him since the email regarding engine builds.

Half full cup of **** at this point. I must say, pretty disappointed that it has drawn out this long. I'm still hopeful, but holy crap, how hard is it to communicate? I learned very early in my business, that an informed client is a happy, or at least, a patient client. The way Porsche has handled this, is absolutely astonishing for such a high profile company. Their entire team responsible for how this was handled should be fired.

All I can hear is Chris Rock:... Dat, dat datn, nit a dat, dat dat'nit.......!

I can say yes maybe when this all transpired with so and so fire and only two and so PAG said regroup "stop sale" and it happened so they do their research and I can understand the lack of communication during this time which is a a bitch to go thru but I understand- they have to do r&d to find out the route problem which is after further research found that the connecting rod bolt wasn't sufficient. Ok that's done and doing testing yada yada etc. I cam see the lack of communication at this point. Now it's been verified and problem solved and new engines are being manufactured at this time tested etc. So at this point and most logical to me engine eradicated all said and done time to do swaps at this time. At this point I think owners deserve a timeline or weekly updates on when/where it's going to be done. Give piece of mine to the owners- seems the prudent thing to do. Doing this update when we need to tell u at this time is pure bull**** at this point. Internet is here and all sorts of conspiracy theories starts coming out- don't u think as a big company like Porsche even VW should circumvent that? No knowledge is bad knowledge even moreso with advent of internet. Anyway I feel for u guys. This shoulda been whole lot better- miscommunication is just MISCOMMUNICATION!!! Mike

Trying to find some positives - I don't think you'll pay the MY price increase and your '15 won't have any stigma attached to it. All else being equal, in the future, a newer MY car almost always commands a higher resale price than the previous MY car.

Mike a fellow RL'er and friend switched from a 14 to a 15 did get compensation letter $2k mth/ no extended warranty. He got his letter same time we did few weeks back. He is expecting a Nov delivery also. Picked up his 911 loaner a week ago. He's deserving as well, they blew a May ED delivery for him and he was deposited over a year ago. You ever see killer whales bat those baby seals around......he's not the whale
