I will only run Daytona on fresh Michelin street tires or at least Nitto's with less Camber. Hoosiers simply can't take the weight on the RR.

I think we ran 175MPh, 2 minute lap times on R compound, too dangerous..

^ way to many variables why it happens. Going at 175 mph like trakcar says- nething can happen. You are sure to hit some kinda wall with banked ovals. That's scary ****. Mike

It's why I don't track my cars. Anything can happen.

I don't understand, why buy cars that are engineered on a track and not track them?

It's the combination of Hoosier R6s and high-banked rovals. R6s don't like these rovals and cord very quickly.

Quick cording also happens with R6s at the Pocono International Raceway when we run the tri-oval NASCAR-style for a session. They always warn the R6-shod people to check for cording (OK, at least the people who know this happens warn others) because the high speed rovals destroy them quickly.

If it's a know issue they should just ban then from the Track.. Too much risk to others on the track as well. -- Why have them? are they cheap.. I just don't get it. Seem like a ticking bomb..

Hmm. guess a lot can damage a tire.. Sitting in same spot for long time can weaken the sidewall. Driving it up wrong on the trailer.. Who knows.. Better to just be wary of those banked tracks unless your a pro.. I like more curvy tracks anyways.. LOL.. I don't like that stupid high speed banked turn stuff. It looks boring, like you sit up there for 20 seconds just holding on to the steering wheel.. -- Maybe I have to try it.. Who knows
