My Car is still in V260 status to have been completed on the 21st. No changes in the Porsche Computer system but obviously not going to happen. I still have no confirmation of a change date and nothing has been pushed back. Strange, I figured we would have had a month delay configured by now but nothing. I did get to look at a lovely white GT3 sitting in a service bay and in person it truly looks the business. I probably shouldn't have done that as now I am even more impatient!
Give it up, get a Camaro.

OK, either a Camaro or a Scud.

Actually, John, that is a very good idea. How soon we forget our past 'infatuations', n'est ce pas? I bet that gt2RS sold at a premium because of AP's autograph on the carbon fiber hood of this car! Underneath his signature, Andreas added his nick-name - 'El Toro' or 'The Bull'. How cute is that...and prophetic!

PS. Pete, I wonder if you can get John Calabrese, VP of GM's Global Engineering, to sign the under hood of your upcoming Z28? That will be a true collector's item. With any luck, you might also be able to snag the autograph of Jeff Boyer too! He is GM's newly appointed Vehicle Safety chief:

I still suffer the emotional scars of that purchase. Nothing like discovering the fake carbon fiber (applique) grille, have the check engine light come on right before a 8 hour drive home and then suffer with intake plenum hose being blown off (like a shotgun blast) on full throttle upshifts. That KoolAid turned to poison for me in short order.

Worst case scenario, the Z/28 can't turn into a five figure disaster, the beginning number is too small!

Now, where can I get those GM hood signatures?

Based on last communication from PAG they will call us individually by next week to inform us of workshop date. I am thinking they will want another 3 weeks to get the engine delivered and couple days for install. This story will end with happy endings and awesome compensation by end of April?
Anyone else want to make a prediction on timeline? I don't think they will come back with 60 days to get us the engine. That would make owners leave quicker than you can say F I R E.

Wow, Silverrules! They told you that we'll get our engine swap dates next week?!

The Camaro Z28 is definitely in the game for track times. For me, it's too big and brutish for my tastes, and the styling leaves me cold but to each his own inside the styling department.

Nurburgring times show the standard 991 911S goes head-to-head with the Z28.

The 2015 GT3 is tempting me.

Sorry to cause confusion Tim. They said they will call us next week and I am thinking they will have a workshop date for us next week. I could be wrong but I think that's what they meant?

"Due to the complexity of the necessary arrangement, we are currently unable to provide you with a specific workshop date for your Porsche 911 GT3. We will be arranging an appointment with you individually, as soon as the logistics planning is finalized. We will be providing you with additional information within the next three weeks"

3 weeks would be 7 April at best, no? Last update was only a week ago....or maybe time is just flying by anymore.

Getting old is a bitch! But I would hope we are ever wiser despite some of the occasional brain fade,

I was told by Porsche AU that it was three weeks from the date of the letter and that I'd be given details on Friday 04/04/2013, which is "within three weeks", so I'd be surprised if other regions didn't find out the same day.
