There is this guy here at Rennlist that is always pushing the 'greens'...'Signal', 'Viper', 'RS Green', 'Birch', 'Kale', 'Collards', 'Brocolini', whatever. I think he is some sort of vegan nut. Have no idea why he is pushing that color because a 'green' car has traditionally been the 'kiss-of-death' in resale and should be avoided at all costs. Some think it's making a comeback....
I looked at Vesuvio and Viola metallic and Amethyst Metallic, but its just another purple now that purple is already standard?
Vesuvio looks different in any light but I remember loving it with gold accents. Remember I almost bought it when you did.
I could go RS Dutch orange to have some use for the orange color stitching, but again already all orange. White, already all white. GT Silver every other Porsche is Silver......
the media drives will be coming out soon (next month?), so no doubt there should be an ultraviolett one there for everyone to peruse.
otherwise, i think all-black or agate would work best on this design. colour needs to be dark as there are too many contrasting parts on this car.

I saw a Viola car on the weekend and it looked great in the sun, though it now has me thinking of giving up on the whole PTS thing and going with UV regardless.
Purple just seems to look better and better than more purple cars I see.

I don t like Signal green eventhough
for the past 4500 997 RS produced the green
was one of the top colors
1909 997 RS mk1
2000 997 RS mk2
600 997 RS 4.0
Mk1*color distribution
Orange 590
Green 510
White 325
Black 325
Silver 159
I'm also not a fan of green. Really like the white with side decals to tie in to all the black plastic. Black would be my second option, kind of hides the plastic. Anyone heard something about the "cup edition"? I've been speaking to some of my friends but so far come up blank.

The 'green' you don't seem to like is 'RS Green' or 2D8. I don't blame you...it's not my favorite either.
'Signal Green', on the other hand, is a magnificent color that the Almighty himself gave us mortals at creation so that we would notice that great hue, hence it's catchy name! The color was so significant that the transfer of knowledge for that singular color was recorded, in situ, by a mural that appears in some church building in Rome! So whatever you do, don't diss 'Signal Green'...or you'll have to answer to a higher authority!
I'm not a big fan of metallic colors and silver for me is normally too understated (go figure as I own a silver car lol). But when I went to the Festival of Speed a couple weeks ago, looking at the 993's, I was reminded how much I like Polar silver. I just love the bluish hue to them. I honestly don't know why Porsche stopped offering it. I guess they wanted it to be kind of a 993 signature color. But I think it would actually look very good on current gen cars. It's a color that can't always be captured correctly in pix, but in person is just fantastic. It'd be interesting to see a 1.3RS in Polar Silver, I bet it would look great!
