+2.
See post #1.
Funny, the copied our PFC brakes and Barron's taller uprights.
CF roof seems confirmed CF hood and fenders make it a real 4.0 continuation.

Special manual version and I'd buckle.
Hell I might just go for the orange....

So, is there going to be a 991.2 RS for sure?
Or this is just speculations?

For sure but delayed due to GT3 debacle.
All 911's get a facelift for the 2016 model year, mid next year. It could be that due to the delays there will be very few 2015's before the face lifted 2016's arrive, different from previous generations due to a facelift shortly after the RS intro.

Like .1 2007, with very few 2008.
Like .2 2010, with very few 2011 and 4.0 in 2012, but were designated 2011's to pass emission law that changed for 2012.

Nothing is for certain, but that's the usual course of things.

If you are thinking about it, I would recommend getting on the list now. In a very short period of time, the GT3 will be back in its full glory and the GT3RS will be unveiled. People will (with no doubt in my mind) race to try and get the best GT3 (or RS) ever made. For many, either car (including the bad bad 2014) will not be attainable for a long time. Others have different opinions, of course.

This entire 991.1 mishap has unsettled the usual progression of the model. Every 911 has had a facelift (since the 993 if I recall correctly) and within this facelift have all variants from the base Carrera to the GT2 have been upgraded. The rod fastener failure has obviously delayed GT3 production and deliveries and the intro to the RS BUT that doesn't affect the introduction of the 991 facelift, which is inevitable. This scheduled upgrade will limit the life cycle of the 991.1 GT3 and maybe cancel the 991.1RS all together??

There will absolutely without a doubt be a face lifted GT3 AND RS, that's better, meaner, faster and stronger. Yet again that's Porsche marketing and the strategy to keep you buying into the latest and greatest...
