Well if the "991 GT3 RS" is to be turbocharged... why call it a GT3 RS at all? Just call it GT2 or GT2 RS and don't be ridiculous Porsche.
Just let the GT3 name die with Naturally Aspirated engines. No one is going to feel less inclined to buy said car just because it is named GT2 instead of GT3.

They are/have tested both options. No one seems to know the final decision (even Webber).

I hope you are right and it is turbo - depreciation on our GT3's will be significantly reduced. Heck, if this is the last NA GT car that Porsche makes, it'll become a collector car.

The thought of a turbo automatic gt3rs makes want to vomit.

The whole identity of the GT3 is that its n/a. Personally I doubt if it will happen, at least in the gen.1 car ( I sure hope so). Any info I have had from Porsche so far says no turbo, but the rumour mills are crazy these days and lots of people on the web claim deep insider knowledge, so I will just wait and see. The problem with the insider knowledge is that the Porsche insiders all seem to have different answers.

I think it'll make the 991 GT3 an odd duck. People will look back and say "Oh yeah, that was the one they made in between the Mezger cars with the race motor and the turbo cars. They got cute with the engine and had to recall all the cars - nightmare."

I'll take the odd duck.
