Very true. Hope it changes for production.

I spoke to my dealer last week and he said RS was long gone. They have a long list and don't expect to be able to service them all. They're no longer taking deposits. And all this before it's even announced! So I'm not sure you're right.

I have been lucky to look at a picture of final production mockup of GT3 RS and the rear bumper you see will not change...this is the final production bumper minus the GT3 RS badging. Small slit vents exist on sides of rear bumpers just in front of rear reflectors.

This is business as usual.

Once again if they are numbered pieces then forget all I have said.
If you are lucky enough to get one through your dealer you will pay msrp. That is not going to happen once the allocations are gone. It won't be 997.2 4.0 RS price craziness, but it won't be too far behind price wise IMHO...gut feeling.

I might add into this that everyone is correct here......AC you are right that those that want one WILL get one, even if not NEW but they will get one at some point even if its through a quick flip by someone who got one of the initial allocation slots.

I can't be as certain as AC SATCO about the RS,but considering the craziness PAG trolls created on this board with the GT3 and then plenty allocation started appearing and still do,that even a poor soul that's been in a coma for the last 10 months and just woke up could've gotten one,I wouldn't be surprised if same thing will happen with the RS.

All of the above ^^^We have deposits for a 992 GT3 RS already which who knows if or when that car will be made...... I am sure if you want to pay $30,000 + over MSRP you will be able to buy a car.....

100% agreed!

When has a dealer ever said anything other than "oh this car is really hot, there won't be enough to go around?"

A few months ago a dealer told me "the 991 GT3 is so rare you won't ever see one on the road blah blah."

The very next day I rode in a friend's 991 GT3, and since then I've seen 10+ 991 GT3 in Atlanta as compared to precisely zero 997 GT3 of any variant (other than my own) during the same period.

Exactly...what little I can see of the tread pattern indicates to me that it is NOT a Max performance tire.

Great points. I think we tend to create our own supply/demand hysteria. If history is any guide, there will be plenty of GT3 RS allocations. The market for a $180K+ pure track car is not exactly large.

I think the 991 RS will be more street able than a 7 GT3 - technology is there so it will broaden the appeal. I was surprised how short some of the lists were when I was looking for a second slot 9 months ago. Not sure what it is like today, but 100% agree that if people want them they will get them.

My dealer ordered 50% of their GT3s for inventory due to the final allocation craziness. There will be another late release and inpatient people buy something else.
