Maybe a few pictures will calm everyone down

Check out those beautiful rear hips.. Also love the black front fender extensions.. It's like a gt3 RS version of the Vette... Very aggressive, almost over the top repli-racer. I wish it was NA.. But I dig it. A lot!

Do I see a "-" and a "+" paddle behind the steering wheel? And is it me, or does that transmission stalk NOT look like a manual stick? The positioning of it looks more like an auto...

Perhaps rumors of a DCT in the Z06 may ring true?

What a bad-a**! I'll take mine in dark grey to soothe all the dark pieces, inlets and spoilers, with black wheels.

EDIT: Oh, and they finally closed that ghastly C7 wheel-fender gap.

Joe, the stock seats are similar to the Porsche Sports Seats. I was pretty impressed with them. The buckets (with harness holes) are coming soon.

Man..that doesn't look like the car of a 50's or 60's year old guy's, with a chain or two around his neck, kind of car anymore! Looks pretty damn good!

That is fantastic! I shall have one.

That is a fantastic incorporation of aero without looking too gaudy. Man GM can be so brilliant at times.

At least 620 hp and on MPSC with a 7 year drivetrain, in car data, and tracking backed by GM.

Never liked a car this much ever. Even with a SC and that sometimes I can stand and sometimes I can't rear end.

Brilliant piece of "blow your doors off"

I still think they should have kept the Z06 NA -- just more HP, more aero, and less weight than the Z51 -- and kept the supercharge for the ZR1. If Z06 is supercharged, is the ZR1 going to be twin turbo?

Seems like TT would be the way to differentiate a ZR1...but to what? 750hp?!?! Perhaps there won't be a ZR1?

@wanna911 -- The fact that GM so openly track use is a pretty huge differentiating factor versus the competition.

The 991 RS will have an all but impossible job beating this monster.

Imagine the order lines if this Z06 is sub $85k base? That would be downright revolutionary.

That's a huge jump in HP from the C6 z06 to the C7 z06. They basically said FU to the C8 folks cause it will need to do at least 770HP with 730T at 100K. Very interesting marketing path.

I think they said FU to everyone with this car. I like it, no more doing the minimum to get by. Shoot rockets first, ask questions later. The C8 is at least 6 years away. I think they want to create a true, stable market for the cars and a lasting demand to compete with the GT3 and GT-R, Viper etc. They had to do something special to break the mold.
