2nd day of DE at CMP. Wife and I both driving the GT3 (2015 w/~35k miles) for the 1st time on track for the car. Mid afternoon session, reduced power code. Just replaced coils and plugs, possible bad coil was unlikely. We had GMP at the track who wennt through basic diags and scoped cylinder 5, clear evidence of valves hitting piston.
Car went to Henrick Porsche 4 weeks ago......just got notified that replacement engine is at the shop, estimated 3 weeks to complete install and verification. I will follow up with a summary of the work.....

I am sure you will be very happy with the new engine!

Nice to hear it's going smoothly. I just picked up a 2015 with 38k miles and have since done 3 DEs and put 4k miles on. No hint of trouble yet... hope it happens in the next 15 months!

Were you art CMP with PCA Carolinas? I was there with my 991.1 GT3 and my student also had a 991.1 GT3. Good to hear this is on the way to get a new engine. Curious why you would chose Hendricks vs Porsche of Greensboro for the work (I think your profile says you are in High Point).
Anyway best of luck!

I will do a 1k mile break in, keep below 6k rpm. Oil change and analysis, then we a ready to drive as it should be.

I just picked up my GT3 with a new G6 motor. It took 5 weeks from start to finish for the job. Normally the receipt for warranty work does not show cost. I got a copy of the bill that goes to Porsche....... $112,647.01 (see attached).

That’s the highest invoice on an engine replacement by about 40k!
