@parkerfe How does this work with a car out of warranty? Straight from the page you link - "Available on new, pre-owned, and Certified Pre-Owned Porsche vehicles at the time of purchase or lease. Also available after vehicle purchase or lease if the vehicle is still covered under the manufacturers new vehicle limited warranty." (bold added for emphasis, not to yell ) As I wrote on the other thread I thought you couldn't purchase this if your car is out of warranty. So for everyone who bought the car and the car's warranty has expired this statement would lead me to believe you can't purchase the plan.

I was granted what the Porsche finance manager called an "exception to underwriting' for PFS vehicle service protection 20 months into my CPO warranty, so not at time of purchase, but still under CPO.
Wonder if they will allow me to purchase again before expiration of current warranty.......

My 2015 GT3 is still under the 10 year-120k mile warranty so it counted as still being under "manufacturers" warranty.
I suggest that you call Emerson and inquire if he can qualify your car.
If not, try EasyCare-TotalCare.

That is interesting that they were able to use the extended engine warranty to say it was still covered under the new vehicle limited warranty. Depending on the cost of the plan it seems almost a no brainer to get it if that allows it to be purchased.

let me know if you were able to purchase that extended warranty from Hennessey. I have 40k miles, no issues so far with an F engine on my 2015, but you never know…

Going the extended warranty route sounds like the best option unless I decide to sell/trade.

For my 2015 GT3 with G6 engine, I bought 5 years-60k miles for $6,900.00.

I'm waiting for my dealer (UK) to confirm but friend in Spain has seen the 'bulletin' apparently.

I highly doubt this … was recently talking to my Porsche SA and that is not what they are hearing unless that changed within the past week.

In theory one could argue that extending the warranty would prop up values of all GT3s and increase overall CPO profits and customer/brand loyalty and allow them to continue raising MSRP on new ones, which also increases overall pricing across the entire lineup. Whether that value outpaces the cost of repairs is something for actuaries to figure out but it wouldn’t surprise me.
