They ended up covering it. The oil pump sprocket failed and the the result was a bunch of damage. New engine on the way.

That’s in line with what I was quoted too. Maybe 40% less for powertrain only.

I bought my 2015 from an individual. My dealer wrote the Porsche warranty a few months ago.

Just a reminder, unless it is a CPO car, the warranty offerings are going to be 3rd party, branded as Porsche. They do not have anything to do with your factory warranty or OEM Porsche coverage.

My warranty was quoted and contracted through PFS, on PFS paperwork, in October 2023. Car is not a CPO. Specifically, mine is a 60 mo/60,000 mile powertrain coverage plan with a $250 deductible.

Safe-Guard underwrites this but since is through PFS I think it's considered the gold standard by the dealers.

No, just ask your dealer to quote you both Platinum and Powertrain VSC options (vehicle service contracts) through Porsche Financial Services. The actual coverage is through Safeguard but it’s a PFS product.

Correct, is it is a Safe Guard warranty, if you were to have any issues with a claim denial and want further information or challenge their decision, you will have to contact Safe Guard, you do not contact Porsche Financial Serves.

Do you personally handle claim disputes with the service contract insurer if needed?
