They keep selling their "demo" cars because the market has been strong this past year. They had a high priced GT3RS that they put their Porsche Naples banner on and it looks like even that sold. Holding on to a rare unicorn car that attracts attention is worth it for them because it gets people to stop by. That's my guess.
Yep. That's my dealer and I'm there all the time.

2019 GT3 - Modded & Maintained by BBi Autosport

Had a few messages about switching to stock setup. The OEM headers come in on Saturday - if someone prefers the stock setup, I'm open to discussing putting stock headers on and removing tune.

If you're local to the area or able to come down to SoCal - I highly suggest driving it prior to considering the switch.

It truly is a special setup, M Engineering really worked their magic on the car - night and day compared to stock.

I was watching this one closely and it went over what I was willing to spend. Was very surprised at RNM and that BAT allowed such a high reserve.

Color killed it, Miami Blue if you like it is a great color, but it is not main stream. Another weird thing was a $25K bump in bids and then the bidder disappeared. You have to wonder if he knew the reserve and was trying to manipulate the price?. Lastly, if the color were so great, why would a Dealer have to go to to BaT. All reasonable questions, especially since Dealers are getting higher prices for non Green and Blue cars. As always.......Caveat Emptor!

I would disagree, 991.2 RS's did not have PTS and Miami Blue is probably the most "desirable" 991.2 RS color due to that. This car had Mag Wheels plus a dealer who sells lots of cars on BaT so I bet you BaT gave them a 290kish reserve.

Right now dealers at auction are buying non WP 991.2 RS's for 200-230k and WP ones at 250-260 according to the last auction report I saw from a friend.

You make my point..if you analyze your response...rare desirable color (you), rare options (mag wheels) (me)..in fact a perfectly optioned car (color aside) and a Dealer has to go to BaT..Mystery bidder jumps the price $25k and disappears.

If wholesale for (non mag wheel) cars is $250-$260K ....what do you think retail is --since they want how much over for "stock" inventory? 992 GT3 is $X over and 992 GT3 Touring is $x+$Y over....why does a Dealer need BaT unless something is out of kilter?

Caveat Emptor!

I don't know but if I were a dealer, I'd head to BAT because people sometimes get caught up in bidding wars and end up paying a moronic amount. Just like sometimes a buyer can really snag a deal. It's quite unpredictable.

When the bid gets jumped by $25K with no follow through..you have to wonder what is really going on (and why it was there in the first place)? Do you ever feel manipulated? Then again ignorance is bliss and there are plenty of "morons" (your term). Perhaps a mainstream color would have caught a fish!

Or all the whales already overpaid for their cars the last 18 months and the silly prices are coming down? Could be any number of variables.

The range referred to here means nothing without mileage.
