The seller sabotaged his own auction. So many red flags, he scared away the bidders OR had cold feet.

His language towards others, telling them to "kick rocks" didn't help either

Yeah, guess the seller overestimated the ability of the market to overlook every red flag in pursuit of the car. Not sure if he / she noticed but there's a nice one popping up on the site every other day. It's not an RS 4.0.

The seller had every right to respond to dumb and idiotic comments as he deem fit - if it were me, I would do the same

Probably true, as there are a lot of stupid people who don't do even basic due diligence before buying a car.

Christ, that video was cringe worthy. Whole auction was a **** show.

aren’t you the one wearing smarty pants here? Lol

here is the thing, in the Porsche market, you snooze you lose and by the time you request and see a DME report the car, if desirable and a good deal will be gone. Just sayin….

What about $300k for the .2 RS. Though it is a Miami Blue example with WP, PCCB, and 3200 miles.

Here's the thing, in the Porsche market, any idiot knows that you look at a DME report before you buy a manual Porsche.

Sorry, let me rephrase that, only idiots don't know that or don't do that. Just sayin'...

And if you want to get top dollar for your car and increase the buyer pool, you get a DME report before hand and make it available to prospective buyers.

Easy to condition the purchase on satisfactory review of a technical inspection including a DME report and provide a refundable deposit. I would be happy to lose the cars with stories around them and those are the ones that are typically sold quick without questions. Hard to get recourse after the fact so unless you like losing money on every deal, better to do the DD up front to know what you're getting into.
