Oh yeah.. you're right.. Still that GTS is a capable vehicle with that turbo motor...
I would buy a GTS/T over GT3 for a daily as they can be more engaging, unless the GT3 he's viewing is manual.
A simple GIAC tune and suspension upgrades on the GTS, would be a beast!

Yes, it could certainly be made to be very fast. But having juiced my share of turbocharged cars, I just don't find them as satisfying to drive as an NA car like the GT3. Particularly on a track, where sharp minute throttle adjustments at the limit can be so satisfying on a 911 (even if the Turbo car would have a better lap time).

TLDR but T all the way for a daily over GT3 (especially PDK). GT3 is too quick for daily use (depends on where you live, length of commute and traffic).

My response was geared towards the thread creator looking for a daily driver. If I were doing track days and daily driving, then for sure I would get a GT3. PDK makes those cars super DD cars.
I think the 991.1/2 GT3/s have enough torque on the streets to squirt in and out of situations, but low end turbo torque is quite amazing for a DD type of car.

hmmm - 991.2 doesn’t have any noticeable lag round a track (boost never goes below about 3 PSI) - engine is running above 3500RPM most of the time. Throttle response is fine and indeed you need to be careful not to over cook it coming out of corners. The 9A2 has been one of the better engines Porsche has produced and is reliable too.

Drop off the Pista at my house and I can take care of it while your trying to figure out what Porsche beater your going to buy that makes your wife happy. I think you should add the Cayman to the discussion too. Maybe a M3?! Take your time testing out everything. Would hate to see you pick the wrong one. Pista will be well taken care of. I'll break it in properly at Apex.

R8?

I was at Scottsdale Ferrari today too. Some nice metal in there. Love the Azzuro Dino TDF and the Triplo 812.

I love the R8 but hate the driving position. It's like sitting on top of a pillow on top of a pillow.

You guys that are not married have no idea but I must be lucky because mine doesn't give a $hit what I buy or own.

Get that GT3 for the off days when the Pista is sleeping in the garage.

991.2 GT3 PDK for Los Angeles.

All day long.
