Not really, its just bemusement.

Frankly it’s T owners that are trying to talk a base up to something that it’s not. Shame really, because it just leads to false expectations and disappointment. It’s a good 911 if you accept it for what it is. 😀

It a base with SPASM and the diff from an S - everything else is smoke, mirrors and marketing.

I have driven a "T"- underwhelming compared to my GT3 but better than the base C2/S

LOL, I spent lots of time trying to cultivate my "t" base. WTF. Have an 991.2 RS, 997 GT3, T and other cars. Pretty sure I have more important things to do than hype a car. The T doesn't drive like an S, a GTS, or a base. The small turbos separate it out and I don't know what Porsche did with the gearbox and suspension but its different. With the tune you keep the quick spool of the small inertia turbos and the power of above a GTS.

Lower gearing, right?

Downside is 2 seats, less ground clearance and a little more firm than the T ( but less so than a GT3).
No GT4 for me. Not even an option Im looking at.

The LWB (fixed back) are hopeless in a daily as meaningful access to the rear is effectively killed. Definitely test drive before you buy . The reason I say this I have two friends both of whom came from 997 GT3s to Ts, one lasted six months and the other about a year - one went to a GTS the other to a .2 GT3.

Test drive, test drive thats the only way you'll find the right answer for you
If I last 6 months to a year in a car, I consider that a win. . This is not going to be a long tern ownership car or my dream car or anything. Im getting something for the next little bit and then probably time to move on from there.

Touring would be great. Just didnt want to get into that price range cause at 160k+ I have to start looking at a lot of other options. But yes, Touring is an amazing car.

Im in the 140k range and at that point, id much rather have a GT3 over a C4.

Thats what I keep seeing as well. Lots of love for the T. I like the buckets. I like the fact its somewhat limited. I like the fact that actual owners enjoy the car. The GT3 is in a class of its own. NA has some appeal but not much as Ive scratched that itch plenty in the past. I like the Touring over the wing and honestly I should spend some time looking at some Tourings before I make the final decision.

thanks for they input everyone. Much appreciated.

this would be my absolute last choice of the options suggested.

I love my Touring, but as a daily driver, I prefer my GTS (or any other "regular" 911) six out of seven days a week. Personal preference.

If I had to actually use my Touring as a practical car I'm not sure I would love it. The power band isn't great for city driving and it's loud on the highway without being much fun at legal speeds. I would take a T or a GTS as an everyday car, just my .02.
