Actually...
There are approximately 4500 991.1 3RS and 4750 991.2 3RS worldwide
certainly under 10k 991 GT3RS ever produced Worldwide.
confirmed production of only ~2,750 991 GT3RS in USA and ~500 for Canada.
Only ~775 with 808WP total in USA of all colors/options combined. The same number of GT3 with the Touring option as 3RS with the 808WP were produced for the USA.

The 992 GT3 is very much NA. And judging by this clip. It’s bloody fast, the green lizard was being chased down. What a time to be alive gents👍🏻

33 Touring built for CANADA ... pretty rare up here

Yes, but its still a manual GT3. All GT3s have been manual or had the option to be manual with the exception of the 991.1 GT3. So perhaps the classic will be the 991.1 GT3 as it is the only GT3 that is PDK and its getting rarer every day

Groundhog - you are right, the (so you say) "manual" 991.1 GT3 is getting rarer every day, as they continue to spontaneously combust, like the drummer in Spinal Tap. They choked on their own vomit. Porsche would investigate, but you can't really dust for vomit, can you?

IMO, a bunch of the winged-GT3 crowd would love to go back and select that "Touring Option" now that there are not many of them out there (relatively speaking). I doubt many of us with our "less shouty" Tourings would go back and get the free wing and co-mandated ultrasuede seats/steering wheel. (It's bad enough that we're still stuck with the crappy ultrasuede headliners in our Tourings...)
Currently, the only 991.2's that seem to be trading over sticker in the used markets are the "wingless-optioned GT3 Tourings" and Speedsters - (although I doubt either will last long)

It's funny to me how these threads ultimately end in an impasse. The GT3 wing crowd says "Tourings are just wingless-optioned GT3s". The I-have-a-Touring crowd says "Nope, no matter how I had to configure it, mine is a TOURING - which is yet another distinct Porsche 991.2 model in and of itself."

But i get the appeal. All the GT3 goodies, but more under the radar. Just one opinion. I am sure others feel differently.

I think truly special would be a 991.1 GT3 with 9,911 miles on the clock presented with the 10 year extended warranty letter in a frame

I think Porsche marketing could make something of this ..........."the explosive 991.1 GT3, burns with emotion, the only GT car ever built exclusively with PDK and self limiting engine....."

Some like wings, some don't. To each their own.
Most people interested in this conversation however wished they had checked the Touring box (as if it were that easy), those who want the raw track experience really don't care either way.
Wish I had checked off the Lightweight "option" when the '73 RS came out too.

Meh. I like my car with a wing, and I don't care whether other people prefer a wing or not. I also don't care whether it's considered a different car or just an option ticked. If you prefer Touring, more power to you. Fantastic cars either way.

Either way this GT3 is unlikely destined to be a classic - while rareness and uniqueness plays its part the bigger drivers seem to how the car was received at the time it was built. The 991 GT3 in both forms is a great car but it’s not really a standout. In contrast the 2RS and 3RS clearly are. You can tell as soon as you drive either of them.
