You will never run into traffic problems. No sessions, 7+ hours of track time..
Keep me in the loop! I finally tried out BW last November and loved it.

Had a nice father's day at Laguna Seca today in what will be my last track day in the GT3. My RS allocation came in a lot sooner than expected, and I can't justify keeping both, so the car will be transferred to my good buddy who will use it just as well as I did.
I made one adjustment to the car: Moved the rear sway bar setting to stiff.
Stock alignment
Stock cup2 tires
Rear wing set to max aero
AP calipers/rotors running Ferodo DS1.11 pads

I was able to get a new best of 1:34.8 in the car. Simply amazing that basically a factory stock street car can do this. I'm hoping Pobst does a lap in the car later this year. I'm calling low 1:33. Let's see if I'm right.

Nice lap! But LOL could you have any more wires or cables dangling off of you flying around the cabin in turns??

The motor sounds a little funky with the no-lift shifts (it blips up slightly on shift). So after a few events with the car, how does it feel with "stock" alignment settings vs. your GT4?

LOL! I know it is a bit silly. Let's go through them:
1) phone mount for track ap and power cable. I ripped it off after that session after the track app refused to work AGAIN. It's totally worthless now.
2) cable for my intercom system when I race in the miata
3) cable for the external mic on my camera. Only one of the cameras has an external mic input, which is the best camera, so I switched it to my helmet instead of the mount facing me.
4) cables for GPS switch

LOVE the no lift shift!

Stock alignment feels great to me. Car rotates much nicer than the GT4. Less understeer.

Anyone still think pdk is faster? The only tiny advantage I see is at T6. I only have a short amount of time in 4th gear before I have to go back to 3 to enter the turn. Pdk would make that entry smoother, or I could bounce off the limiter in 3 and sacrifice a little speed.

The AP brakes have been doing very well. Very consistent. Good feedback.

The brakes now have 4 solid days on them, 2 at laguna which is the heaviest on brakes here in NorCal. Pics are of the front and rear pads. Still plenty of meat left on them.

I totally agree - GT3 balance totally stock is much more satisfying than my GT4 with thousand$ in corner-balanced track alignment and aftermarket suspension hardware

FYI - only change of any kind is I also moved rear bar to stiff...

To jog my memory what are the standard alignment settings on yours in terms of ride height, camber etc..I say this as a few european guys didn't get on with the OEM camber and altered them..IIRC in terms of camber eg -2.15 R and -2.45 F..I know its important not to meddle with the toes as it seriously messes up the RWS settings..

I actually don't even know. I never had the alignment checked after taking delivery. I have no idea what the car is currently set at. Just ran it with whatever it came with from the factory. I believe Dave has posted what his settings were from the factory, but I don't recall what they were...

Many thanks..That makes it interesting, which leads me to believe that there is a significant variation of alignment settings as they leave the showroom..I'm having mine checked in the next couple of weeks purely to satisfy my curiosity and suspicions equally..

For reference. My .2 factory camber settings were: FL - 1.7; FR - 1.9; RL - 1.9; RR - 1.8

Joe, I was wondering, after a few more track days, what do you think of the N1 Cup 2s vs. RE-71R? (how many miles do they last, are they consistent throughout the track session? They do seem to still be fast assuming you're on your first set!)

Also, any unpredictability with the RWS when throwing the car around? (https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...nderway-6.html)

Oh yeah, and how's the brake bias and any more brake shudder with the new calipers/discs?
