From: The way to hell is paved by good intentions “Wenn ich Purist höre...entsichere ich meinen Browning” "Myths are fuel for marketing (and nowadays for flippers too,,,)" time to time is not sufficient to be a saint, you must be also an Hero
Confirm you're selling it and Try seeing how much rennlisters will pay you for it, then tell them you changed your mind and you're keeping it and watch the collective heart-attack happen. Lots of other fun activities also like driving it. Infinite possibilities. Oh, and next one is confirmed to be turbo (like, for REAL realz)
i am really tempted
...another german to italian to english lost in traslation not the .2 facelifted but next 992 GT2 apparently...(no GT3 at all )
once in a life RL was close instead of waiting official press releases
...btw it was heard but strongly emphatized to kill it asap with public forum fire

The most novel thing about this car is that beautiful color. Otherwise, a .1 RS is 95% the same in my book. It's not the same huge change which happened with gt3 .1 & .2 where there was a displacement increase, new engine, and a new transmission option.
I may get laughed at for this... but I don't think premiums are going to be much different from .1 Rs for this .2... porsche could have done A LOT more with this car. Their "incremental steps" strategy has reach a level of minutiae which is impressively... minute.

Premiums will depend on production #s/availability. If production 1000 to 1500 or so ADM will be $150k. If production like .2GT3 adm $75k.
If I can get one at msrp I’ll get one. If not they can keep it. My .1RS is 95% of the .2RS.
I can be 25% ahead with a BBi or GMG set up in headers.

But why do people always say they can slap headers and a tune on a car that's a step behind to close the gap when that same improvement can be made on the new car? Never understood that?

Look up the history of the GT3 RS,there's no question about HP!
That was well said in another thread:
Guys, did we already forget what the hp difference was between the 997.2 GT3 and the 997.2 RS? It was 15hp.
What about the 997.1 GT3 and the 997.1 RS? It was ZERO hp difference.

I'm glad that the cars and coffee crowd and bench racers are blowing off the .2 RS. Keep it going. Maybe these cars can finally get into the hands of people who will drive them.

Only 10hp increase for the 987 boxster spyder and caymanR, yet Porsche was able to put together a package that made it a new experience.

Those are the same people that said the .1 couldn’t be much better. Now it’s marginally improved in both looks and paper performance and they say it isn’t worth it. Let’s also remember track performance is probably a bigger improvement.
Its a great looking and performing car

I have the 991.1 RS and considering the 991.2 RS to add to my stable (would keep 991.1 RS - it's pretty special).
If this is legit, I'm rather surprised that they only added 20 HP. Percentage wise, it's 4%. The 997.1 3.6 --> 997.2 3.8 had 8% increase (415 --> 450 hp). The power increase was noticeable. Not sure if I'd notice the HP difference from 500 to 520. I would have liked to see 540 hp. But we'll see...

I have a .1RS and .2GT3MT and feel fine. I will probably get an allocation for the car at MSRP. I just wished there was more difference. I have a hard enough time justifying my car habit to myself as it is.
A lot will depend on the price.

20 is a measly increase in hp especially when the norm has become 700+ these days. I suspect this is deliberately so to allow for a "special" unobtainable for most RS with 550 hp to cap off the 991 generation.

True. Is 20hp worth $80k from a .2 GT3 or even $40-$50k from .1 RS? Each person will have to decide for themselves. To get more measurable hp increases my guess is either a hybrid model or FI is going to be the reality. At the end of the day we all buy these cars for various reasons; performance, sound, visceral driving feel, track performance and looks to name a few. If we all liked aggressive looks we probably wouldn't argue with the GT2 RS looks, oh but wait.... that's FI. All comes down to what's important to you.
