Right, but that grey script is gone from configurator this morning. As I bounce back n forth between Yellow with black wheels and Black with gold wheels. Grey script gone now??

Yup, but don't get the sense they really care. We're living in bountiful times for high-end manufacturers and they really don't have to work very hard to sell their wares.

The presentation itself was nothing more than pulling the cover off the car and saying here it is - no discussion of design, content, performance, etc. I used to do sales & marketing for a heavy-hitter retail chain in a prior life. We killed to 1) get customers into stores, and 2) to get real face-to-face feedback. Porsche had probably 80-100 ostensibly VIP customers at the RS intro event and I didn't see or speak to one senior person from Porsche. It's not like they weren't around. I know at least AP and Pat Long were there the prior evening for the press event. I enjoyed the event and appreciated the chance to see the car, but the whole thing struck me as a missed opportunity for Porsche.

Then again, it could be worse. Ferrari and McLaren didn't even bother showing up.

Indeed. Still waiting for our decontented Cup interior....

They can keep the 4k. We want the Ti bar.

You have to order WP to get Mg wheels. Porsche correctly sussed out that without the Ti bar most would skip WP and just order Mg wheels, hence they're holding us over a barrel with WP in order to get Mg wheels.

I’ve never considered a black car in hot Florida but my imaginary GT2RS (V70) is black.
My imaginary 3RS would be toss up green/black.

I'm not a black car guy but this combo with green interior is pretty appealing. Even better if we could get green calipers...

Green or maybe even gold calipers. Maybe black calipers.
with black you can keep swapping. Like with the white ones..
remember when people paid $5000 2008 dollars for the 997.1RS ?!

That’s the exact spec I’m doing ... that's why I did a thread inquiring about caliper painting.

I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to do green calipers/black script or black calipers/green script for a more discreet look.

The side decal is still there for black cars, just much harder to see as it is black. I don’t think it ever was silver, as if you switched to the 3D view it appeared similar to the other black graphics. I think it was just a mistake with the 2D rendering. I reckon it’ll look great in black - the black stickers will look grey when in sunlight in comparison to the deep black paint..

No, the decals were grey before on the black.

Edit: ok, if you blow up the pic larger, decal still there but more faint. Tough to tell if it's intended to be the grey it clearly showed before or if it's black decal on black car (which could be cool but is a bit of an odd oem choice).

Well, they were grey right up til the point you switched to the 3D view, then they magically turned black.

Nope, not trying to be difficult. But the top pic wasfrom a screenshot from weeks ago. 2 or 3-d now shows a diff decal color on the configurator than it did a week ago.

Here's the 2-d view.
