Hi. I am about to purchase a lift. I would love to speak you about your Bendpak. I have a GT3RS on order and I want to purchase a lift so that I can use it to work on it as well as store my RS above my Macan.
Please get back to me. Thanks

Thx for the quick reply. The GMG bar attaches at the front just behind the seat to the base of the floor along the lateral gutter/ rocker. Your pics of the front base of your Cantrell bar are up on the seat base of what would be the normal back seat and one of them shows the seat belt mechanism but not the floor. It looks like maybe a piece of foam is blocking the view to the lateral rocker panel.
I didn't know if maybe you had a pic just about six inches in front of the one you have that would show this area

All your points were right on... The side panels caused a bunch of WTFs... And the upper seatbelt cover as well... Once I figured out one side the other was cake.

Have the bar fitted. Trimming pieces (after protecting) and reassembly tomorrow.

I'm planning to cover the trim pieces with blue tape and then duct tape on top of the blue in order to protect the panels (taking your advice).

    Thanks again for the tips.

Here is a couple more tips. When you remove the seats cover your center console with a blanket so you don't mess it up. Before you remove the seats raise to the highest level but you will also be sliding them back and forth, when you go to remove them line up the tracks so they are not extended, this will keep you from scraping something taking them out. Make sure you have disconnected the Neg Batt before disconnecting the seats and do not put the key in the ign until the seats are hooked back up, otherwise you will get an Airbag light.
A Screw driver size hook tool will come in handy on this job. I used the one with a 90deg angle point. Use the hook tool to release the upper seatbelt covers and carpet on the upright roll bar stubs so you can trim the plastic underneath.
I used an Exacto knife to cut the carpet.
The side panels take considerable force upward to get released, don't pull outward until released or you will break the tabs.

Looking at the instructions, I am going to be removing the panels for the most part. I will, however, make sure everything that may be affected will be taped up. Thank you again for the heads up!!! It's very much appreciated, Dan.

I have everything ready to go, sans sub bars that Colin is still putting together. If you can think of anything else, let me know.

Oh make damn sure you tape up your side panels for the final install or you will mark up the panels. The bar must slide below the carpet and side panels. I taped mine off and glad I did. I would use duct tape as it must be heavier than masking tape.

awew911 do you plan to do your own install on the roll bar? My advise is to read and reread the install instructions and ask questions ahead of time. When you take the seats out take lots of photos and note exactly how it all fits together. There are only a few specialty tools required, a E Torx M12 socket, a 10mm triple square drive and another tool I found helpful was a 17mm ball extension. You need this tool to tighten the rear bolts on the rear bar mounts. If you have questions PM me. Good luck Ed
