based on your example i would choose to have those 75k$ parked in a .2GT3RS - driving in the meanwhile the better car.
this will think a lot of current .1GT3RS owners. more .1GT3RS will hit the market - to be precise around 1.500-2.000 units based on the new i guess 2.500 .2 units. this will happen - nothing can change it. because all of the .2 are sold multiple times.
good for all .1GT3RS buyers out there.
how many will flip the .2GT3RS? i think not too many - because what else to buy? there is no substitute.

the final MSRP and infos about the final details/goodies (WP?)
is what i´m waiting for.
Ok. I'll take $260K but not a penny less. ; ) Owners of .2RS will flip when 992GT3 hits. LOL. Especially if more mid engined.

Based on discussoin with my dealer today looks like I may get an allocation. Not concrete but looks good. Key will be the pricing of the new car in general/ADMs and resale of my car. If I can get PTS willing to spend a little more. We shall see. European delievery would be a bucket list item too.

End of day like Kobalt said, not losing sleep if left wtih a .1RS.

I'm totally ok with this. 50 hp isn't that big a deal. I was regularly running down GT4's with my Boxster. By the time these start showing up at the track, I'll have had some practice in my clapped out old non-turbo car and catching and passing them will be supremely satisfying.

Yes and no. All the bits and pieces for the Weissach package are already available on the GT2RS so it's possible that they had every intention of doing one and prepared for it and then later decided to scrap the idea in order to build more cars in their limited production window.

If there's any truth to the idea of a shortened production run due to to some emissions regulations or something then this would make sense.

Also... if there's any truth to the idea that they might build a bunch of them before the regulations change and then add some extra emissions stuff and build a bunch of altered ones after, then they could introduce the Weissach package to that second run to offset some minor drop in power or something that's introduced with the emissions change.

I'll take mine without WP please. Those wheels cost a fortune to replace if something happens.

Agreed. Even if I wasn't getting a manual, I'd still go for the .2, as I think it's very different from the .1. And every commentator that I respect that has reviewed the car has said as much.

Same torque. 20hp+ for .2 and 200 more revs with solid lifters. Yawn. Improvements but nothing dramatic over an already great engine.
Minor by any standard IMHO. Man difference so far is styling ques and I'm likely to get an .2
Just call'n the way I see it.

I wonder if it will have painted headlight rings and side vents like that?

More like 400 more revs in 2nd and above, but agreed.

Whatever the "Minor Changes", I was informed here in the USA we are safe to get the 991.2 GT3RS "WITHOUT" the particulate filter. That is IF you get your order this year 2018. Subsequent production that comes out in 2019 will have the "Particulate Filters" due to EU6 regulations. Get your orders in ASAP.

Drive safe,
