It the same engine in .2 (the 20hp difference is insignificant), but everything besides the engine is even more different between RS and GT3 than before. I think now Porsche actually made them into two distinct cars - on road GT3 would be just as good or even better, on track RS has very meaningful advantages.

Agreed Porsche has at last differentiated the RS from the gt3 properly over and above the looks of the car. The chassis differences are much more substantial than before.

Nice build; you listed your 3RS as a MY "2018" yet on your build sheet it states MY "2019". Aren't the 3RS MY "2019"?

As Henry quite rightly mentioned you really need the WP, even to just distance it from the GT3..Trouble is i'm not taken with Lizard in combination with the WP..I'm going with one of the standard flat colours with the WP but unsure which one yet..
Maybe on road in the wet there's not much difference, but the limits of the RS are much higher. It's not just the tire spec, it's also the size of the tires, higher spring rates, and 2x downforce, At track speeds in dry conditions, there is a big difference.

If you don't mind sharing, what is your build code?

Agreed, not feeling the lizard. I love many of the greens, but lizard is too washed out.

Agree. Imv this review really demonstrates how limited the information from these manufacturer staged journo tests really is. Henry is definitely one of the better ones and can actually drive, but how much was he able to learn from driving around a bit on wet Eifel roads and a couple of track laps? You need to do a couple of full days on track and live with the car on the road before you form a full picture. Having to pick up the bills adds a lot to the actual assessment. Some of the threads by serious drivers on here provide way more information than a journo who is has to sell mags and has very limited time with the car.

Absolutely don't agree, and nor does Porsche since the debut of the 3RS is in Lizard Green......why Pray Tell......because they feel of all the colors it's the one that showcases the 3RS best...................

I saw lizard in person and wasn't impressed, and that's coming from a person that loves the greens. As far as a launch color, PAG hasn't offered a green option since the 997 RS, so it was overdue. Anyone ordering lizard without seeing it in person is making a huge mistake. "Posers going to be posers"

"Posers" are a very lose term used in the bike community. Lots of 2 wheel guys been riding average bikes and to a lesser extent pure customized bikes for many, many years. When the bike community sees a newbie enter with a custom bike, we just laugh at them being posers. So when we have newbies enter into the P community with a track focused incredible car and will be At C&C and sipping a glass of whine sitting next to this awesome track focused car it just tickles me pink of these posers. Top that off with launch color selection and its following to new color. At the end of the day it's yo money, but please see the color in person both inside and outside.

Thanks for the heads up........not sure how to see it in person though in the US no models have arrived but the launch pictures look pretty awesome.....I will endeavor, though, to see if I can actually see it in person........not sure how to go about that.
