LG is close to gelbgrun but has a little less flagrant saturation quotient. It's the same tone range and the similar contrast properties mean it's the most direct comparison. It's a very warm color with very little blue tone in the spectrum.
Miami/Voodoo/ and some other colors seem to glow a bit because the color has an extra electric type of wattage. As a photographer, and having just been to Weissach last week- if Gelbgrun was the Voodoo Blue Of greens (saturation) then Lizard is like Golf Blue. It's gorgeous to me, just like Gelbgrun is gorgeous to me. I do not like the Irish Green or BRG as much...they look mopier in person (GT2RS at Weissach)
The major difference between Voodoo and Golf, is that Golf must be clean to be fully appreciated. Likewise- If Lizard is dusty it will look a lot less saturated vs Gelbgrun.
The lizard interior is very aggressive but I like t as well. I think the guys that order the LG interior on NON-LG cars will be big winners at C+C for having the guts to do the weird spec right. Not in red ext, but black/silver/white especially.

I know what you mean CJ Ichiban when you say certain colors have a glow about them and how a color can look less saturated in a photo .............I have a bike that is neon or fluro green and it is near impossible to capture the true color in a photo for some reason it just seems to look flat or washed out every time a photo is taken of it .....

CJ - thanks for your input. GelbGrun has been my PTS choice on an RS for quite sometime, but never won that PTS lottery. I was sold on Lizard from the first pics due to their similarities, so obviously quite excited. The first time I will likely see a Lizard RS will be when I pick my own up in Zuffenhausen in September, so fingers crossed it will live up to expectations.

If people don't mind divulging their date of entry into the body shop or redacted tracking sheet that could be interesting to see. My 3RS enters the build shop on 27 July.

im tentatively on for September 24th. My build has already locked and was told that options chosen shouldn’t cause any problems. I was worried about WP, but as of last week no issues according to dealer.

Here is mine with the Order Number X'd out. I assume my delay on the build is due to the Summer shutdown. If production is generally 7-10 days, then the Summer shutdown appears to be about 3 weeks this year.
