New GT3/GT2RS Leads With/Without ADM
#3196
Just to clarify for any members that want to run the PFC / Brembo type 3 or type 5, the calipers are 100% not the same on the .1 cars. If the uprights have become rotor specific then that is new for .2, but there is 1 part number for the uprights and no alternative for a PCCB/Iron car. My .2 touring will be done next week with its wrap, and I'll measure the calipers on it compared to another .2 to see if they have changed how they space things from the .1 car.

90% on a spot the size of a crumb unacceptable? I mean I am OCD and all, but a couple of touched up paint chips I would probably have to point them out for anyone to notice, especially under PPF, would not bother me. A resprayed bumper would bother me.

i agree, but remember he’s paying msrp or over on a used car. you can still get a new 19 GT3 for ~20adm or 3RS for ~30

To save the $20k ADM 5k miles and a couple chips seems worth it to me. I would have waited for used if anyone was crazy enough to spec a car like me. But I am really good at touch ups and not a PPF guy so just my two cents.

Yeah I’m not usually a ppf guy either but with the new $250k 3RS incoming and a $165k SVR I had to look into it based on true cost to own and % not $. I am quite sure I’ll end up buying a used Touring or R here soon but I would never be able to justify paying msrp much less over unless it was perfect/like new. I’d rather pay the adm and have it OCD perfect.

With no allocation, I think this is a pretty good backup plan for someone wanting a 991.2 gt3 or 3rs... https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=493799394
Why would someone not buy this over 991.2 gt3's selling right now? 2016 gt3rs pts black for 174.xxx Ask? That is cheaper than a lot of the gt3's
I asked one time about this car, but no one responded...With people loving pts. How is this car not a great deal? Am I missing something?
It is not certified which might mean something not good like it was tracked for all 10k miles or something... I dont know, looks like a good deal to me. I think this car is awesome

Although, I am not into tracking and do have a full PPF, I am into driving my Porsches and putting about 1K miles per month. When does the total mileage start to become an issue with the GT cars when it's time for resale? At or over 10K? The mileage concerns are a tad odd when it comes to Porsches.

Yeah it's getting absurd. The used Porsche market is now like the used Ferrari market. If you use your car as intended and have fun with it, a lot of people won't want to buy it. I bet Porsche rues the day they came up with the VIP program. Thanks to all the flippers, what once was viewed as a driver's car is now viewed as a narrowly defined commodity.

ps: not sure if it’s the correct comparison, but I see these as a healthy car that works out as intended vs. a couch potato occasionally attempting a marathon.

Porsche doesn't care, the speakerships even less. Car is not a commodity if still made in the thousands. Too much liquidity will eventually dry up (pun intended) and then they will become available again. In 2008 a GT3 would sit at a dealer for a long time for MSRP and they were far rarer than today. I'm cashing up, waiting for the bear...

MIles don't matter. Price and condition do. If you drive the car and put some wear and tear on it, it's market value is likely to go down and you need to be realistic on pricing. Cars like that, that are priced accordingly, sell, while those that don't languish.
