New GT3/GT2RS Leads With/Without ADM

Yeah, why not? I'd lose taxes. Most cars sell below msrp. I once bought a brand new car $35k behind msrp. They make money at msrp and can make money buying it back and selling to the next guy plus service if it stays local. If its not selling over msrp when I'm done with it, than they could pay me whatever the market is. There's a win win solution out there, right now the process sucks and people spend more time trying to find a car for the right deal then they probably do driving the car.

I guess I'm one of the few then, in 2008, in line at my local Nissan dealer for 2009 GTR, they want 30 ADM, I walk and got MSRP in Miami, markup frenzy that those few years when GTR first introduce. 5 years later, traded in for 2014 50th Anniversary edition 911 msrp. Between that, in 2011, got lucky and got a BMW 1M coupe at MSRP. 1M was also a big problem when launch. Now I'm waiting for my GT3, also msrp, arriving in August.
My dealers ran out of RS's , all taken by VIP, was told Porsche sent them the VIP Client that live down here in Florida. I believe they only got 3-4 allocation all to Vip client.

My apologies ...... I didn't think you were in the "club" and had an advance copy already. You didn't give the secret handshake.

I've told that to every local dealer I've talked to. Sell me the car at msrp and when I get bored in 6-12 months, I'll sell it back to you at msrp or slightly back of msrp and you can sell it for whatever you want. I think that's a win win, but I guess I'm wrong as no one has agreed...

If you really want MSRP deals, suggest long term relationships and start buying. You have to pay to play to get in the game. You really are the most ADD person I've ever seen on Renn. Once you actually BUY a few, you'll figure it out. Until then you are a deer in headlights thinking you have it figured out, when in reality the train left the station long ago.
And yes, please add me to your ignore list and hope I never run into you in Austin. You and your buddy STD are made for each other...acting like juvenile kids.

Well said. It's like a nervous energy emitted from a "deer in the headlights"

I serviced my 3 cars at the same dealer for 12 years, cultivated every person at the dealer and never got crazy or showed attitude about bad service or repairs not done right...only bought a Cayenne CPO at this dealer, so you could say I was not a big customer but a pleasant one....lucked out and got a MSRP GT3 due next week.....I agree with previous posts that working with one dealer in a mature manner can pay off...

Yes, but during that time I put 60k miles on a 95 911, 30k on the 14 Cayenne GTS, and 68k on my 2003 C4S....so I was a bit busy driving them like I stole them!! Still have the 993 Manual and the great sounding last naturally aspirated GTS V8 Cayenne...a beast...patience is a virtue especially when you are having fun driving these awesome cars...and getting a GT3 at list..

I have nothing against ADM. The world works on supply and demand. I’d even pay a small ADM, but if I’m going to spend 170k I’d want to spec it myself. If I could justify paying a big ADM, I’d do that too.
It’s just not in the cards at this time.

Again, you seem to have had a great time while waiting those 12 years but I have been with the brand for 9 months and the money is not an issue so why wait? I will buy the car and just have fun now..............Though, with this current dealership I have started a relationship that I will cultivate and hopefully it will bear fruit but I was absolutely not willing to wait, why should I?

Who said I ever waited? I asked if I could get on the list for GT3 when the car was announced. Got a call about a week later saying I had an allocation at MSRP. Never thought about buying one until now. Money not an issue for me.

What surprises me is that there are some members on Rennlist that are not even part of the "glass half empty crowd" but rather part of the "empty paper cup crew". My friends you need to have a little more fun, joke a tad more, lively banter.............less lemons more lemonade.

But you did have a 12 year relationship, correct? Would you expect to be able to walk into a dealership after a few months with the brand and procure an MSRP deal?

I agree Porsch2018. The only previous Porsche cars I have had was a 2015 Macan and a 2006 Carrera S that I bought new from a dealer in another state when I lived there. So the only way to get a car now was pay. Was totally worth it to me, but I also understand others thoughts on getting a MSRP deal. Hopefully I'm building the relationship now for the future since I'm the guy that trades when the car needs tires.....
