And here they come. The flood gates are opening. Cue the music.

Nobody told him to order LWB. Maybe the dealer gave him guidance??

No FAL either. Having practically zero options isn't good for expecting someone to pay over $170K for a car. Depending where you live, with sales tax you're talking could be close to $190K

It is one of the worst specs ever. I love the comments already on his thread. These horrible ad's with huge premiums and the preverbal "great car, someone should buy this right away" type of comments.

I know I am in the minority but I configured mine with sofas (18-way) as well because for me it's going to be more of a DD then a track toy. Am I concerned about resale? Not really, I intend to drive it not let it sit in the garage and after 2K miles then try to put it up for sale. Heck, right now in 8 months I put over 6K miles on my 718.

You made the right choice for yourself. That's all that matters

that car doesn’t suck, MB dealer is great.

Renntech is local to me.
I know it's not German, but the new mid engine Corvette should kick booty and be reasonably priced. Rumor is that it will be badged as a Cadillac.

I thought this thread was about reporting what we learned in the recent market. I’m not claiming that my info is the only truth out there.

I definitely think the scarcity of these cars is extremely over hyped. All five of the dealers that I originally talked to about getting a GT3 have eventually called me and offered me buildable allocations as well as cars on the ground and expected in the future. Of course when I first approached the dealers they all told me "no way" or "sure we will put you on the list at number nineteen", but without exception they all ended up having cars and allocations for me. These are all New York area dealers. Fact of the matter is that if you want a GT3 you can get one. Sure you might have to pay $10-$15 over, but in the context of most builds (my build is ~$180k) it's really not a big deal.

On top of that we have more and more slightly used examples for sale. If anyone wants a car, don't worry you will find one.

Exactly, I mean look at how many Rs there are for sale and there are only like 300 of those in the US. We'll have 7-9x as many GT3s in the US when the dust settles. It's all just a bunch of smoke and mirrors to have people think there is sell supply than there really is.

That would be a mistake.

Can you post or PM me who has those buildable allocations? I have someone who will pay for that now.

Thanks.

I had a 2015 Z06 with the Z07 package. Kept it for two years. Great car, and even greater car for the money. I look forward to the upcoming mid-engined one.

As do I.

But badging it a Cadillac would be a mistake by GM.
