SS - if it were approved by PAG it would have carried the same name. Case in point, there are other manufacturer's paints that have been approved that keep the same name (e.g. BMW Carbon Black, and a couple of blues, Audi's Nardo Gray, Lambo colors like Celeste, etc.) Does not appear Suzuka is approved but worth asking PAG anyhow.
You likely are aware, recently they have changed their procedure where asking for feasibility studies is no longer free for customers. They charge exactly double the PTS (~$26K) once you submit a request, if it does not work out you are refunded, if it does they keep the coin and you have essentially paid double to have an exclusive paint...until the list becomes public and others storm in

So for the ~$26K feasibility fee, if approved, can I hypothetically get a full visible carbon fibre PTS?
How insanely awesome would that be?!
I'm almost not even joking if such a thing were possible.

Marked as delivered! Thanks for the updates, and M3 Irish, your color is no longer 'confidential'.
Beautiful cars! Enjoy in good health!

In fact, I think about it since the first time that I have seen a GT1 during the first test session in LM, in 1996.

Bummed my SA sent a screenshot and my production date got bumped back one month from Feb to March.
I havent made or requested any changes since my car was submitted back in October or November. Delivery pushed back from April until May.
By the way my location is Michigan though I’m getting the car through a dealer in New York. Just info for Montoya and the spreadsheet.

exposed cf is not good
CF are held by glue
glue hates sun
if it's my car, i put as much paint on it as i can.
we see this on bicycles, many have higher grade cf than car panel and when painted vs naked or even clear coated, you see them degrade at different rates.

I mean so many cars have CF roofs, wings, hoods, exposed to all the elements including the sun and they don't seem to noticeably degrade ... I can't see how that wouldn't translate to the other body panels so as to have a car with visible CF all around.
Now manufacturing and replacement costs after a fender bender are another question, so are crash test/safety considerations.
It's fun to dream about tho.

but if you look at 996RS wing, you see them yellowing.
it's not going to disintegrate overnight, but it will not last as long as painted CF.
but it will take a long while....
just thinking for the 8th owner of the car as none of us keep anything long lol

Got my slot...
Hey Montoya,
Thanks for compiling this information. Just wanted to add mine to the list. Gulf blue, orange stitching, painted interior, PDK, Dec build with Feb delivery. Anyone else out there building this color? Also, anyone have recommendations for PPF/detailers in either the OKC or DFW area? Thanks in advance and will send updates as I get them.
