I can't think of a better replacement to be honest so most likely will keep it.

Anybody have a new Defender 110 v8?

Thoughts on it?

I love my Defender 110 with the straight-six so I can only imagine how good the V8 would be ...

What do you like and dislike?

I drove a 110 6 yesterday. 6 is quite good for sure. Going v8 for a little more excitement, v8 is a criteria for next car.

While I would like to off road (mild trail stuff, not tough need a winch, rock stuff), there isn't much nearby here and then the time for it. So it in all likelihood may rarely be used in trail situations. I only tow for utility (moving stuff around, moving stuff), bike rack. May get a small travel trailer (22') for weekend trips and such. Don't think it's really suitable for a track 24' enclosed vehicle trailer, but that could be a future use.

No real dislikes yet. There are some minor issues with the Defenders; A pillar rattle at speed, keyless entry sometimes doesn't work the first time you press the button on the door handle, Pivi Pro gremlins. But there seem to be fixes for all these things I just haven't taken mine in yet to get corrected. The engine with the turbo, electric supercharger, and 48v battery is wonderful. Ride with the air suspension is awesome and I love the ability to lower the car to help my wife get in it. I think the styling is spot on and I love the Land Rover utility. It can tow I think 8500 pounds and would level the rear with the air suspension so it's actually a decent tow vehicle too. I think the V8 might tow less so check on that since you are interested in towing.

Thanks!

v8 does tow less, believe it's 7500 lbs. Seems issue with these is tongue weight, max of 771 lbs.

I noticed a thread of niggles on the land rover forum, hoping these got worked out for 2023 MY.

I see that wireless carplay is now available, that's a welcome feature.

I had an RS6 on order but decided to go the Defender 110 route as it fits more my needs (kids, dogs, snow and a bit of light off-road). The Defender is a tank, sturdy and have been very reliable... I had zero issues with it. I'm very happy with my choice.

Thanks for the input! Looks great.

I should be ordering one later today. Do you have any close up pics of those side steps? Was going to order them as I have young kids 6 under. Thinking to wrap the silver as my paint would be Santorini Black, nothing else is silver.

This should give you a better view of the side steps. And if you have young kids you will love the practicality of the Defender's interior... no carpet, all rubberized ... it's so easy to clean.

Perfect! Thanks for the quick response.

I'm more restrictive than my wife and her car of them eating certain things in it. My biggest thing with them has been the kicking of rear seats, in particular my 3 yr old. So it's scuff marks. But there also muddy boots.
