The McLaren thread has over half a million views and has some age on it. That why its been left alone. Post 3807 has some good thought going on...but seriously...moderators are trying to keep it organized. Other Marques forum needs the traffic anyway.

Gawd it's so terrible looking in those photos and the worst angle (the rear) isn't pictured. I'm going to need a Mclaren F1 GTR picture to bring my vision back.

Funny thing is, had there been a bunch of bashing on the C8 instead of a lot of interest and positive comments the threads would still be on this forum instead of being buried in the "Other Marques" section.
The C8 doesn't need Rennlist's blessing to have success.
The moderators actions speak for themselves and those pulling the puppet strings in the background. What's there to be so afraid of?? A new model by a company other than Porsche??A domestic car company making an interesting new sports car??
I'm more shocked by the treatment of threads here than anything. I just find the C8 interesting discussion ...

Couldn't agree with you more. I started a thread yesterday on GT3 board about interesting topics like the C8 being mothballed to the 'other marque' section and whether this practice annoyed other Rennlisters. I didn't get to see how many responses were garnered before the mods deleted my thread

I think Points(mod) made a fair point. The mac thread has over 300k views and alot of interesting discussions.
I don't think its a knock against the new corvette and Chevy has some great cars. If value shopping the Camaro ZL1 or even Mustang GT are great values.
I think most guys who own Porsche GT cars are shopping Mac, Lambo, Ferrari etc.
Bottom line is if your an enthusiast this is a great time.
I am driving my 2016RS alot and I am in the market for another car. After test driving 488 spider, Aston DBS superleggera and others I am probably getting another P car. The GT3T is at the top of my list. Love the GT car without wing and I am clearly stuck on 911 variants. My second choice would be a 600LT. And if my 18 year gets to decide it would be the Mac.

So the argument for swiping/deleting all C8 threads from all RL forums and dumping them in a single one in the RL basement was that they didn’t get enough views/responses in 2 days? LOL!

Guys from Apex Nurburgring were using nankang tires with good reviews, might be worth trying.
I had the A/C on full blast on the hottest day of the year at all times during a full day DE.
So the Brembo pads are incredible feel - very similar to how my PCCB's feel on the 2RS - a good thing. Unsure if similar stopping power to 2RS, will have to wait until next track day, but definitely seem to bite a lot more than OEM McLaren pads.

Exactly! You can't make this stuff up ....
So someone's opinion that certain brands are "cross shopped more" validate a threads right to be on the GT3 and other 991 forums?? It's all or nothing. You have threads about other brands or not. Seriously, do some people think we're that stupid and can't see through the BS and politics?

So 500,000 views in 2.5 years??
The Corvette threads have 161,000 views in just over 3 MONTHS!!!
Now that they have been mothballed into the General Discussion / Other Marques section with little traffic it will die a slow death.
Regardless, the C8's success won't be determined on Rennlist allowing it's discussion to occur. The Corvette guys must be having a field day watching this and Rennlist not allowing its discussion. Gone are the jokes about gold chains, Coors, and NASCAR .... Seems like a real threat has arrived.

I'm trying hard to like it but just can't. Perhaps it will look better in person? Will reserve final judgement until then but right now I see kit car-like angles and proportions.
