Began to pray that the RMS doesn't need attention after the left output seal was replaced and they saw some residue last week. Cabin air filter this weekend with some vpro nitro, and red line SL-1 additive. Looking forward to doing the engine air filter next weekend.

Last week had coils replaced after Matrix found cracking, injectors replaced, brake fluid flushed, and oil changed. 3K bill.

I've been to the Spokes autocross down there...is that a joint event they do with PCA? It's probably been 4-5 years since then.

Not joint, Spokes and SASCA are separate. Although we do have quite a few folks from there that join us regularly. Our events start at noon, and we have an awesome facility with covered parking and air conditioned bathrooms.

Congrats on the headers! Please let us know your impressions and, if possible, dyno results.

i was told by the PO that it'll add approx 25 hp to the equation (currently around 400) with some noise and i have to live with a CEL if it shows up, lol if the increased power is noticeable in the seat of the pants i'll keep it if not i'll put the oem headers back on the next oil change. I have an access to a Mustang dyno so it's on the bucket list. Not sure how far are you from Lumberton, NJ you can come on the dyno day and maybe dyno yours too for free if you need one. DM me if you can.

They say on the website that the next smaller/cheaper model suits the Cayman (and this model the 911).

But I contacted them, and they said for a road car, that sits around, maybe with a slight drain for security system etc, this was a better option.

My baby lives on a hoist for 2 weeks at a time while I’m at work. I usually put a charger on it when I get home. Especially with the aging led acid battery.

I bought the matching Lithium charger. It claims it “wakes up the cells”. So maybe 1/2 hr on the charger each month might still be best.

Using lithium batteries on my bikes - very little self discharge. Even if I haven’t started the bike for months, they usually crank real fast. No waking up cells required.

So, who knows?

Actually, does anyone know?
If it cranks ok, and I drive it, is that as good for the battery as putting the charger on it?

I’ve used this type of batteries on old motorcycles also, without issue. I like the weight savings, but cost for the cayman battery is a bit steep vs what it was for motorcycle batteries.

I agree. But I bit the bullet. If it lasts well I’ll be happy - It certainly cranks significantly faster. (Than the aging lead acid battery)

Yesterday I swapped out the useless Sport Chrono timer for a VDO Cockpit analog clock styled after the early 911 clock.

With 140K miles, I started into some much needed preventative maintenance. I started having the rear axle boots leaking/ cracking so decided it was time to replace them. While I was in there, might as well do the rear wheel bearings. Pressed new ones back in this weekend. So much smoother. The old ones were getting pretty bad. Going to work on the axles this weekend. Trying to think if there is anything else while I am in there. Considering replacing the clutch as well since I already have it this far apart. It's just difficult as I am doing all this on jack stands.
