KW makes a FAL system that can be added to their coilovers.

Replaced my cracked pipe running from the AOS to the intake and fixing a vacuum leak on my 2009 987.2 2.9 manual.

Then added a sprint booster.

I had high expectations from others comments but was still blown away. The sprint booster is the way this car should have been delivered.

Then I fixed the Dinan rear shock mounts on my 128i....

If Porsche delivered the Boxster with the DSC suspension mod for PASM and sprint booster type throttle response they would never sell a 911
They do this with a purpose and a plan.

With a 3.8 Engine (Nickasil bores/no IMS bearing.)and a limited slip diff, in my 987.1 CS, I struggle to see which 911 I’d prefer. (Within even double my budget)

I really enjoy driving this car.

Before I bought it, a GT3 was my holy grail, with a GT4 a close second. Both crazy expensive in Australia. (Used $A500k/$A250k).

I now don’t believe I could use, or enjoy, any extra power or handling on any public road. My Engine has a massive wave of midrange power which just suits everything perfectly. “Performance” driving can be achieved lower in the rev range, making the tallish gear ratios seem lower.Using 3500 - 6000rpm is incredibly satisfying. Regularly enjoying shifts between 2nd and 3rd, sometimes 4th, because you can, and occasionally 1st - I drive some tight back roads.

So much fun.

Drove to work this morning and felt the shifter was disengaged when I tried shifting from 1st to 2nd.

Car stuck in 1st gear but no way to get it to neutral as the shifter just flopped around.

Flat bedded to dealer and was told the car needs new shifter cables, thankfully they actually have them in stock. When I got this car 6 years and 100k+ km ago I had the revised cables installed. I guess the cable(s) just broke due to wear from rush hour driving.

So even the updated cables suck. That sucks.

I'm not sure, because this is my daily and I get stuck in traffic and do a lot of shifting because of that.

I took off the factory 17" wheels and added 19" optional boxster S wheels. LOVE the way they look. Also added 15mm spacers, and of course wider 235/265 tires.

Do you know if the updated bracket was also installed with the updated cables? It probably was but you never know.

Looks great! Technically, they're Cayman S II wheels

I never thought I'd see the day where anyone, let alone me, would be able to correct Zach, but they're the Carrera S II wheels. :-)

And - yes - they do look great!

Do you know if the sway bars from the R/Spyder suspension are hollow or solid?

Yes 6 years back Porsche had already discontinued the old cables and the revised cables must be ordered with new updated bracket as part of a kit.
