Wrote up a short blog post about some Cayman interior trivia, aimed at anyone that's never been in a Porsche.

This should be the correct link: CAYMAN INTERIOR DETAILS

Cool post. FYI, your link here is broken (the text is correct, but the linked site isn't).

Also, you pointed out the armrest in the door, but you didn't mention that it's a storage box as well. I thought that's where you were heading... but maybe you didn't know?

Great post otherwise!

Hey, thanks for reading, I’ll check the link.
SCHWIN: Yes I had a photo of the arm rest open but looks like I didn’t post it, just fixed the blog!

I finally added the sprint booster to the 987 Cayman and then I said why did I wait so long. I had it in my 981 and now in my 718 base, and love them. I did not think it would transform the base 987 Cayman with Tip transmission like it did. It makes the car feel so much faster, step on the gas pedal lightly from a light and boom she just fly's away, hits the power band at 4500 rpm and you are saying woohoo! lol. If you don't have one, you have to get one.

Received in post 3rd center radiator. The kit does not include the bumper grill and front section air duct (both parts are not in the picture), thus got those parts from local Porsche dealer.

I put this on my BS 987.2 and I have to say I had to run it on the top of the low side to make it liveable. The top side was just too hot for parking lots and garages. I use this in combination with the DSC suspension control computer for the PASM. These 2 simple Plug and play mods made the car perform much better than stock. Whoo Hoo is right !

yes, i have nothing but good things to say about the sprint booster on my 2007 2.7l cayman. and yes, i know it does nothing in regard to the potential HP and torque, but it does say a lot about responsiveness to pedal input and apparent acceleration.

BTW, i've stalled it a few times recently and have mine set on '5', so thinking about dialing it down a bit; maybe to '4' or '3'.

i have another (unmentionable marque) sports car that is in desperate need of such a device and they don't make one for it. if the connector plug was compatible... *scratch head*

You might be able to get a schematic or sort it out to where you could splice it in ?

most are pretty simple with three wires. power, ground and signal. i'll have to take a look at the one on my (unmentionable marque) car. shouldn't be too difficult. the hard part is laying upside down under the dash for a couple of hours. it's like volunteering to be put in the stocks in 13th century england.

Replaced my failing tiptronic on my 113k mile 2007 base Cayman with a used 50k tip. Works like new again. I have done this 3 times in the last 6 months (learned that year and model type has to match the hard way. They are not all the same inside). I think I can do this with my eyes closed now. LOL. after the second time around I bought an Atlas car lift. This time it was so easy to do with the car lift. Added the sprint booster and loving the performance of this amazing car. A well engineered car is easy to work on, way to go Porsche. The hardest part is trying to fit your body behind the seats without getting leg cramps or twisting an ankle/knee.
