Car received Xpel clear bra treatment right at the dealership before pickup. Can't even tell there is a clear bra on it, amazing job by Town Porsche in Englewood. If you need anything, go see Jon Wein at Town...he is the man!

Some quick iPhone Pics from delivery today...

Congratulations. The car looks great. And, join the Roadster Club! I am a die-hard roadster guy. I would never drive a fixed-roof car, ever! The feeling of openness, wind, noise and everything else is priceless. A bespoke roadster handles and feels a lot different from 991 Cab, for example. Once you are hooked, you would never drive another fixed-roof car! Now, if you are talking motorcycles, ....!

I saw my first Spyder while at the factory 2 weeks ago, and I have to say, it left a huge impression on me. A positive impression...

The Spyder's lines are sculpted perfectly.

Yes congrats. I have my order in GT silver also. Curious why you chose the 18 ways over the buckets. Comfort concerns?

Default gt4 front lip for protection, not just looks.

nice job on getting your car.. must feel really special. good to see what gt silver looks like.. I can't wait to see my red/lwb interior with that.. literally not gonna sleep.

one thought.. looking at how little that rubber moulding sticks out from below your front lip, I'm wondering if adding the gt4 lip to this car won't just be for "cool points".. but also to provide a little more protection to the painted part of lower front bumper? I'm looking forward to seeing a spyder owner make that addition.. (the extra touch of aggressiveness won't hurt either.)

Oh yea.. How does it sound? Gotta be gt4-levels of glory notes +++++ I would imagine.

Risks dangerous high speed instability, cuts ground clearance and impacts usability slightly, and in the end it probably doesn't protect the bumper much better. "Uncool points" from me, but YMMV.

Pete, you probably have a better idea of this.. but with a gt4 which produces 220lb of downforce at "top speed" so somewhere around 190mph... how linearly does that downforce reduce as speed decreases? at the speeds which a spyder will be driven most of the time (I"d say sub 110mph?).. how much would a small splitter like this gt4 lip affect stability without that almost flat AOA rear wing being present? I'm sure you have good knowledge on this so I'll completely defer.

on the damage from hitting a curb or a parking space bar however, i think there is no question that the outward-sticking splitter from gt4 would do a much better job than the spyder bumper where the painted part is completely exposed.

Congratulations! Beautiful car. Of course I may be biased since mine is GT silver as well...but with the classic red/black interior. It's on the ship now. Really looking forward to getting it soon. Enjoy!
