Great news from Carl, for the non a/c installers.

Nice one Carl

I've always said, if you can't afford to walk away from them both financially and emotionally, don't put them on the track. Or was that about wives, I'm easily confused Franky II will be bigger, faster, meaner, and very orange

Great news! I'm hoping that this means I won't have to gut an AC compressor

coming even sooner

Started the install on the SC kit afterwork today. Got the charger mounted and it clears the radiator Mounted the fans and started on the fuel system as well. Since mine is not a normal installation (944S, not 968 chassis), I had to heat and bend the rigid fuel line.

Very clean and workman-like install. Good job.

Working to get this car finished and decided to just put ac compressor back in the car. However, I did not want all that weight, so I took everything out. All you need is the carcass and front piece to attache the pulley. Really doesn't weigh all that much with the guts missing!

Not a bad way to go and you get a really lengthy belt tensioning turnbuckle too with a lot of travel in it.
Please post an installed pic when you are able.

Just like that. Clear as day. Thanks.

BTW to all: see that idler pulley we add to get more belt wrap on the alternator? We sell that outside of our kits for the 928. Solves the problem of having to tighten the beegeezus out of the belt just to avoid belt slip on the alternator and AC head.
