I havent heard back yet whether the new fan and shroud we provide for the 968 fitshis S2. I just dont think he is that far along yet. When I find out, I'll let you know.

I just heard that the fan and shroud we supply fits the S2 radiator just fine. He did have to Dremel off 2 of the mounting tabs on the radiator shroud to make it fit, but says once the shroud was modified in this small way, it dropped right in.

That's interesting; I found this pic on your site:
Are there two fans or just the one fan in your replacement shroud? If one, do you just wire it up the "low fan" connector on the S2/968 wiring harness, so that it's on if in either "hi fan" or "lo fan" mode?
Sounds like he must be getting close to a complete installation now...

Good choice! I looked all over for that pic and couldnt find it... glad you did.
It has one large single fan (larger than OEM) and the shroud seals against the radiator core very effectively. Wire it to the low wiring harness, so it will turn on early. We have found this fan to be so effective that it "cycles" at idle... it will turn on when the engine sits at idle, but in 30 seconds or so its off again as it has dropped the temp so much.... in a minute the temp comes up and its on again. That was on one of our Wisconsin fall days (fairly cool ambient temp). Draws the same amps as the dual fan setup.
We cannot use 2 fans because the supercharger needs the room - so we went to this single larger unit.

The kit is installed, and the owner has given me many pics. I need to get them posted. He has not quite finished the headlamp conversion to projector lamps, so has not wanted to show a lot of photos until he's done and proud of it.
I'll find some I can post and put them up.

Am interested in installing the stage 2 kit to my 1993 968 and have contacted Carl via his website. Without reading the whole thread again, can anyone give me details of their experience with the installed unit, performance, experience etc. Have just installed a standard clutch unit at 100,000 klms. Belts were changed at 88,000 klms. Brakes and suspension are standard. What do I need to do to cope with the extra power?

H2, my suggestion would be to give Carl a call. I am sure he can put in touch with one of the existing owners of kit. Not everyone actively participates on web forums. Carl has sold some kits, so there are people out there with real world experience.

Raj,
Thanks for the reply. Carl can offer a GT3 clutch, but do I need it? I would like to try the standard if it works, having just installed a new one. Question also on suspention and brakes to handle to power. I want a car that is primary street, some track but also capable to travel across Europe. I am prepared to sell my M3 (which has just completed an 11,000 klm trip from southern Spain to Finland and via the UK on the way back), to pay for the development of the 968.
