The 944 S2 with 968-engine install is waiting on me at the moment. We will be shipping his kit this week. Then he is going to start (with my assistance) adapting the kit into the 944 body. The prototype parts will be coming back here for matching and production after we land on solutions for the cold air intake that work.

Thumbs up

I've been away for a long time, this is freakin' awesome.

Well done Carl!

I'd be interested in hearing feedback from customers.

Read this entire thread and have begun to look for a 968. I will call you shortly Carl. I have been looking for a fun project to do with my dad for a while. Now if you could just give me 100HP out of a 993 for 5K........

I just bought Carl's 968 supercharger test mule. The car needs some TLC but the driveline is tight and the supercharger works as advertised. Lots of midrange and a nice hit of power up top. Given the gearing it gets into boost quickly and the power is very linear in the midrange so it just feels like a 5 liter engine... until the 4500 RPM hit comes on.

This is what I was hoping for, a 968 cabrio with good low and midrange and excellent top end power. I considered a V8 swap and actually have most all the parts for a 3.0 8V turbo, but the supercharger meets all my goals for a lot less money and much more easily. Particularly when you buy one already screwed together.

Congrats on the new car, keep us posted as this is something that I am very interested in for the track car, especially with the increased HP with the new injectors. Mine will not be a simple project as I want it on the track car (924S with a 988 motor) with the addition of an intercooler - can you say 997S killer in GTS4

Thanks Joel for your purchase. It was a pleasure to meet you.

Keep tabs of your gas mileage on the way from Milwaukee to Colorado - if you can keep your foot out of it, you will find that the MPG is better than stock. (Not that many who buy a supercharger care about such things) but the volumteric efficiency of the motor has been improved, so you will find it take less throttle to maintain 65 MPH, ergo, the higher gas mileage.

Joel, Carl, running the stage 2 pully and injectors right ??

i think once the guys are running these kits, the jealousy factor kicks in.

Carl, there is also this:

https://rennlist.com/forums/968-foru...-roll-bar.html

since you have a lot of friends in the 928 world i was wondering if you can clone one of these for 944/968 crowd and probably would do well with the 928 guys too... we NEED THIS...

Allan, Massachusetts.

Haven't tried the mountains, but Iowa was pretty exciting with summer tires and snow.

Interesting roll bar mount, Allan. A quick look through the SCCA and PCA rule book suggests it would not pass tech for wheel-to-wheel racing. Probably good enough for Autocross.

Joel made it home fine with the 968 SC. An interesting drive from Wisconsin to Colorado in late December! I'm sure he will be posting soon.

Carl, I realize the 968 sc is fairly new and this was a great road test for it. Since you have been SCharging the 928 for much longer what can you tell us about some of those that have been dependable drivers for a long period of time?
