I lost my 968!
I CAN FINALLY PEE!!!

Not a big deal to all you healthy people but to me this was HUGE!
They removed the urethral catheter yesterday after another 2 days in the UCSF hospital.
Currently both my hands are fully fuctional.
85% of my right foot is working again.
Starting physical thearapy next week.
Won't be long now until I'm walking and drivin.

I still have a great down payment on a "new to me" 968 and I can't wait until I'm behind the wheel again. Actually 4 nights ago I dreamed I was drivin my car and oooo it felt good.
You have my deepest sympathies! Good luck on your search for another 968, as long as you don't find a Horizon Blue coupe and buy it before I do! lol
Regards,
Also, how's everyone doing out in California? The news of the out-of-control fires in SoCal is scary and "back East" we're thinking of you all.
Stay safe.
Scott, my mom has a HB coupe, but you might not like it. It's very clean, for a car with 220k miles. If I ever see another one I'll let you know! It's one of my favorite colors too.

I started Physical Therapy on Monday and we have a lot of work ahead of us.
The muscles around the knee and hamstrings are very tight so I am streching them twice a day to get them limber.
My calf on the other hand is still numb which is critical to driving and walking.
What I still find funny is that both my PT and Orthopedic surgeon had a 944 at sometime in their life. But have never heard of a 968.

I have also just found some pics of me autocrossing 11 days before the accident.

I was only 1 sec behind the GT3 who showed up that day.

Good update on your progress. You do need to educate your doc and PT about the 968 (a/k/a 944S3, which was Porsche's initial thought for naming the car).
Keep getting better. The actual driving is way more fun than looking at pictures of yourself driving.

Lord Galva,
It's great to have you back on the list. I enjoy your posts and am so grateful that you survived what most would have not. With that kind of luck you might want to buy a lottery ticket. Then you can have a turbo installed so as to have the all around best car there is.
Do some Kegal exercises and your plumbing will improve. Sounds like all your other appendages will soon be working too.
PEE-S: I recently had a catheter for two weeks and it wasn't all bad as I never had to get up to pee at night. But it was hell trying to work under the car dragging that thing around. I'm glad it's gone.
Welcome back!
Harvey
But I had two catheters for 2 and a half months.
One supra pubic, one urethral, still have the supra one.
THAT SUCKED!
I really want to stand longer so I can work on my dad's 964 which isn't starting.
