Default I lost my 968!

On Aug 2 I was involved in an accident and the 968 rolled then caught fire. I don't remember what happened and I just got out of the hospital today. I plan to take pics of the car tomorrow.

OMG, thank God that you are OK and in 1 piece. Cars are replaceable.
Good luck with your recovery.

According to my surgeon my liver was pushed up into my right lung causing it to partialy collapse, the right side of my pelvis was broken which damaged my urethra, I also had hit my head on the left side causing numbness in my right hand. Currently I have a catheter, and I can't walk until Dec. The surgeon, who has a 997 C4S and owned a 944, told me the car kept me safe from worse injurys. I plan on hanging out with him once I buy a new 968 which seem to be plenteful on San Fransico Craigslist.

Glad you're OK...That's first and foremost.

Best of luck during rehab...keep on walking and doing ALL the physical therapy you can.

I'm glad you pulled through. Best of luck with your rehabilitation.

I'm sure you'll miss your car but looking for the right one to buy can be fun as well.

Thank goodness you're on the road to recovery. Porsches are strong cars and I'm glad that the 968 saved your life.

A couple of years ago I did my own independent crash test of the 968 at Lime Rock park - head-on into the tire wall inside the last (driving) turn at just north of 100 mph. Broke a couple of ribs and suffered a number of other minor injuries and was basically okay. Luckily for me, nothing like your very serious injuries. And, I was actually able to salvage the engine and drivetrain for transplant into a chassis that is my current race car.

I wish you a complete and speedy recovery. Good luck finding a replacement car.
