I have a 6 hour gap in my memory so I have no clue how the accident happened. I'm guessing it was a deer, and the CHP thinks I just lost control. (yea right)

Sorry to hear but glad the car held up well enough to save your life.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and remember, the memories of that car will always be with you.

Do they estimate your speed? Were you charged with anything?

I'm assuming they cut you out and put all the spare pieces in the passenger area, but DAMN - you are one lucky dude. 1 down 8 left.

I havn't heard a thing from the CHP and for me thats a good thing. I really want the check from my insurance so I can pay my loan off. It should be in the mail this week.

Those pictures are insane how could you possibly walk out of that. You must of had an angel looking after you on that one I do not think I have evr seen a car so mangled glad your ok. I do think i will be seeing that car at my local P car bone yard as it seems not much left to salvage. Good luck with your recovery

As a firm believer in God, I believe God is with me always. It was not my time that night and the healing that is taking place is awsome. God has taken care of everything from finances to my jobs. During the first week my boss came to my house and offered to pay my credit card bills while setting up a car wash to raise funds. I don't know how long it will be until I can work, (or drive) but I know that my finances are well under control.

How you did you come out alive of that hardly recognisable pile of metal ? This is surreal.
If I were you I'd buy a lottery ticket.

Best wishes for a complete recovery.

Like I was saying, it was fate and not luck that I survived. Friends do say the same thing though when I show them the pics. But I'm sitting next to them.

Default I can sympathize

Lord_Galva,

I can sympathize with what you're going thru as I had a similar accident back in '96. My car hydroplaned and rolled a couple of times before it was overwith. About the same time my accident occurred a husband and wife in the same kind of car on the same highway on the other side of town died in their own accident.

Although I got out with almost no injuries and an intact memory, it made me really decide what was important in my life. I almost immediately left a job I didn't really like and have never looked back. Best of all though, the near-death experience softened the hearts of family members who had previously been hard to get along with. I too believe that there was no luck involved.

Take time to recover, reflect, and really appreciate the blessings you have.

God bless.

Sincerely,
Rick
