Some engine bits for you:

Special pistons, very special sealing rings, case flow work etc...

I think end of May is the target.

I have pictures with all the panels on, and it looks bloody brilliant. I'm holding back until it is complete because I assure you, you'll be blown away. Paul has done an amazing job, I keep looking at the pics I took last week and think ****ing hell that is mine!

...you'll have to wait. It will be worth it I assure you...

Just bought a flappy-paddle gear box for the RSR. Its a treat for not dieing in a BIG off at Silverstone today after some pleb dropped oil at the end of pit straight. Managed to miss the concrete wall on either side and went straight through a (thankfully) not so solid block of high density polystyrene.

Is that the worst of the damage? I'm surprised you use that RSR in anger, good on you for doing so though! Which gearbox have you bought for it?

Yep, actually looks worse in the photo. Most of the scuffing is on the protective film, with just a bit on the actual bodywork. But that bit is on the removable fender bit. Was so lucky, it was a very big moment, that could have easily written off the car..

I've bought a full race Holinger and same flappy paddle system that RC uses in his race car. Its bloody good. Not like the road going stuff. I might swap it on to the Turbo at a later date.

Well, I managed to properly break the RSR today. A slow caterham on the racing line after exiting the pits and me on full chat resulted in broken rear suspension and god knows what else... Had a great day though...

Me too. Its all got to come off for the new gear box anyhow... Could have been worse. Rescue guys were funny, whilst pulling me out of a field .... "why did it have to happen to the nicest car here... I have to take a photo, nothing to do with the incident, just its my favourite car here, such a nice car..." Yes, yes, just lift it so I can see whats bent and whats not...

Yep, here are a few more of the engine build. Engine will be finished this week, then of to JUDD for mapping. Professional wiring loom should also be finished this week or next. After the mess that the previous Independents made, I decided to go the full monty on the loom. All motorsport connectors etc.

The pics show the heads and barrels built up with the screen-in liners. You can make out the cooling muffs that are clamped onto the liner:

For some reason all pics are not loading...
